New 2023 Suzuki Jimny 5-Door - Off Roader SUV

The 4th generation Suzuki Jimny launched in 2018 in a standard 3-door body for this model, but in 2020 it was revealed that a 5-door version was in the works, and photos of the prototype surfaced on the Internet at the same time, but the official premiere took place only today. The 5-door Jimny's main market should be India, where it will compete with the Force Gurkha and Mahindra Thar frame SUVs.
It should be noted that the fourth-generation 3-door Jimny will not be officially introduced in India, and the 5-door version will serve as the ideological successor to the Gypsy SUV, which Maruti Suzuki produced until 2017. Gypsy is a pickup truck built on the previous generation's extended Jimny frame. The Gypsy's body is not separated from the cab and is equipped with passenger seats; various kung variants were offered to protect passengers from inclement weather.
The 5-door Jimny did not surprise in terms of technology and design: the wheelbase increased from 2250 to 2590 mm, the overall length increased from 3645 to 3985 mm, but the width and height did not change - 1720 and 1645 mm, respectively. The elongated frame has an additional central cross member to reinforce it, but the suspension geometry with continuous axles has not changed. The ground clearance is 210 mm, the approach angle is 36 degrees, the departure angle is 50 degrees, and the ramp angle is 24 degrees.
The second row of the cabin has more legroom, but due to the narrow body, it is still only for two people. The trunk has also grown in size, now holding 208 litres (with the backs of the second row folded down - 332 liters). Six airbags, ESP, hill-climbing assistance, air conditioning, a rear-view camera, a multimedia system with wireless support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a four-speaker audio system are standard features.
The engine is a 1.5-liter gasoline "aspirated" K15B with a starter-generator, producing 105 hp at 6000 rpm and 134 Nm at 4000 rpm. 5-speed "mechanic" or 4-speed "automatic" transmission. Part-time four-wheel drive with a hard-wired front axle and a reduction gear in the transfer case. There are no cross-axle differential locks, but the brakes function similarly. By the way, the rear brakes are drums, while the front ones are ventilated discs. 195/80 R15 is the standard tyre size. Fuel tank capacity is 40 litres. Depending on the equipment, the curb weight ranges from 1195 to 1210 kg.

What a great improvement in a very versatile 4X4 the Suzuki Jimny aren't they one of the best offroaders you can get now in a 5 door version its perfect reliable robust simple all the right stuff for a great 4X4 the only competition is the much larger Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series station wagon it is a much larger version of this 4X4 and the colour is great also two tone doesn't deter from the overall look of the Jimny the longer body Suzuki have hit the nail on the head and l do hope they come to Australia

Не будут. Точно так же, как и у машины передыдущего поколения. Проблема в том, что публика нуждающаяся/заинтересованная в таких машинах денег на ее покупку, за редким исключением, как правило не имеет и вынуждено засматриваться на отечественное обожество типа уазиков и тазиков, да и то в подержаном виде. А те кто имеют, покупают побольше и подороже, те же рамные крузаки и т.д. В результате 99% этих замечательных автомобилей колесят у нас не там, для чего они созданы - джимниками рулят девки в городе, а на крузаках ездят пузытые дядьки в офис или быдло режет на них понты на автомагистрали.

@@tukituki7680 дело как раз в том, что это очень хороший автомобиль. Предыдущие Джимники до сих пор спокойно гоняют по стране, и проблем не знают. А Нива ломается, даже стоя в гараже. Не говоря уже о разнице в безопасности, у Джимни 3 европейских звезды, у Нивы - ни одной! А насчёт сравнения проходимости - поговорим, когда Нива нарастит ещё 30 лошадиных сил и скинет 200 кг, чтобы сровняться с Джимником. Если это вообще когда-то произойдёт...

Por lo que veo en el interior, este nuevo sub, se ve muy barato adentro, no tiene baúl reposa brazos para el conductor, no tiene salidas de aire acondicionado para los pasajeros de atrás, no tiene portaobjetos en las puertas traseras y tampoco reposa brazos en las puertas, veo que no se puede poner una botella de agua en las puertas delanteras, veo por todos lados plásticos duros sin ninguna comodidad, también veo que no tiene un tercer reposa cabezas, creo que lo único rescatable sera su tracción 4x4 y su motor. por lo demás, pues se ve bien austero muy barato y poca y casi miserable calidad interior, supongo porque será vendido a precios de alta plusvalía, ofreciendo una pobre calidad para los ocupantes. en mi opinión podían haber hecho algo mejor pero no les dio la gana, sino solo el interés de máxima ganancia.... no me convenció esperaba mas de esta marca. ya todo lo dicen la temática de vestimenta de su modelos. ropa horrible.

As a 2022 jimny owner I’m both impressed with my car’s abilities and disgusted with its flaws.
It’s a complete wreck as a 2wd, do not buy this as your daily drive if you will never use it as a 4wd.
It’s dangerous as a 2wd period!
But as a 4wd it’s practically bulletproof especially if you add mods like long range tank, rear diff lock, winch, rock sliders, bash plate, 2 inch lift all round plus 235s mixed terrain tyres to give that extra clearance.
Honestly I bought my jimny as my daily runabout but also cause I live in the Wild West coast of Tasmania which means I’m 4wd daily just to get around.
I’ve done loads more mods but seriously $15k of extras and your jimny will not be stopped in any terrain where other way more expensive 4wd will not even dare go.
I’m finishing impassable tracks where others are spending 3-4 hours just to move 100meters and destroying their rigs in the process.
Just a tip…. Avoid fitting a roof rack and avoid fitting a bull bar, both these mods are a big no no on a jimny.
You can fit a hidden winch mount and fit a winch from 3500lbs to 12000lbs but seriously you won’t ever need bigger than an 8000lb and that will be to rescue others as the jimny is practically unstoppable once decked out and functional.
Love my Jimny, spent loads on it to be a killer 4wd and it has surpassed all my wildest dreams, definitely unstoppable off-road.
