I'm from Louisiana, and this is how the people I know peel crawfish: 1. Hold the head in one hand and the tail in the other. Twist them in opposite directions to break them apart. 2. Some people will suck the juice out the heads. You don't have to do this though. You'll get more heat that way. 3. If you can't get the tail out, peel one or two rings off the tail (where the head was). 4. Pinch the end of the tail with one hand while pulling the meat out with the other. 5. Optional: Remove the black line down the back. I'm sure most of you can figure out what that part is. ;)
Also, if someone is having a huge crawfish boil, we don't use trays. We cover a table with newspapers (set up outside), and dump a whole pot on the table. Large boils usually have more than one batch, so it's easier to just dump it and let everyone stand around the table and eat them while they are hot.

I live in Louisiana and the food really is the best. I’ve traveled and there’s no food like south Louisiana, but Lafayette food is more Cajun and New Orleans has more of a Creole flair(tomato based verses roux based). Scott, LA is the place for Boudin.hope you make it here one day!
Good to know that they have something for non seafood lovers. I eat some fish but I have shellfish allergies. But my hubby would be in heaven with that food.

As someone from New Orleans I will NEVER understand why people outside of LA think the seasoning goes on the outside of the crawfish 😂😂. Seeing that all over the shells makes me crazy! The whole point is to BOIL the crawfish in the boil seasoning, otherwise the actual meat gets none of the flavor lol. Anyway, love y’all!
Make your cupcake easier to eat by taking it out of the wrapper, splitting the cupcake in two, top and bottom and putting the bottom on the top. Then you can eat it like a sandwich! Less messy!! Love your videos!
