    These crispy veggie chips stand up to any gourmet store-bought variety for a fraction of the cost. And have I mentioned they are also healthy?
    There are two types of veggie chips - chips made from leafy greens and chips made from root vegetables. They differ not only in terms of flavor, but also texture. Veggie chips from root vegetables are incredibly flavorful and crispy.
    Whether you decide to follow the recipe exactly or change things up, these crispy veggie chips won't last long! I dare you to eat just one of these homemade chips. This is a downright addictive snack that you can feel good about eating. You don't even have to be a veggie lover to love these chips.

    NutritionRefined: Thank you so much for your prompt answer to my question about using dehydrators for this recipe. I've used it for apple slices which gives the house a delicious, festive aroma for days. I may have trouble slicing the root veggies thin enough, though. My daughter always asks me what I want for Christmas, so I think I'll suggest a slicer. She always gets me something useful and fun and a slicer would fill the bill. I've "liked" and subscribed and am looking forward to more of your great ideas. Thanks again, DBB. :0)

    Those look delicious. I was thinking if you slice the carrots on the diagonal you would get a larger chip. I was wondering why you peel everything? I have had good luck putting chips on a cooling rack with a tight grid with no parchment paper, which seems to let them dry out faster.

    They don't sell left-handed equipment where I live, but if you have Ikea in your area, they have a very good ambidextrous peeler. It's not the cheapest I've come across, but relatively affordable and it's really good quality. I've had mine for several years now.
    By the way, I know it's kind of silly probably, but one of the reasons I like your channel is because you're left-handed. It's sort of comforting to not see everything performed in reverse for once.

    • @Faith_Soprano
      @Faith_Soprano 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean, I'm obviously not here JUST for your left-handedness, I like your recipes and your presentation, but with so many cooking channels out there, this is just one of the things that made your channel stand out for me. ^_^
      There are probably other places that sell ambidextrous peelers. They're likely not even designed as ambidextrous, they're just designed so right-handed people can peel toward or away from themselves, but they dub nicely as a leftie peeler. I had another ambidextrous one before that I just happened to find in a random supermarket, but it broke very quickly. Ikea's is just the best one I've owned.
      I think the Y-shaped peelers tend to be ambidextrous by default, but I find those kind of uncomfortable. That's just me though.
