Knowing how to code and listening to this is driving me insane lmao none of them are doing anything remotely useful

Thats not how you find bug in real life, you just probably gonna sit and stare in your code for hours wondering why the fuck this is not working. Lol

Facts, there is no reason why you're jerking off on the white board before you even look at the damn logs

I don't think you understand their motivation. They aren't programmers. So when they heard the challenge, they went with what they were familiar with. They considered it a riddle. Often the answer to a riddle has keys in the question itself. That is what they were brainstorming. It was a good concept applied to the wrong problem.

Funny to think that Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are being just as effective in debugging as those other guys.

this is NOT how debugging code works

Exactly, just run the source code on a standard IDE or a debugging tool like GDP or Eclipse.

today all you would need to do is put the code in chat GPT and tell it to find the bug.

The f, I can do it in less than a min what they are trying to do.. just copy the source code to an editor, run the code and find the red lines.

That's a syntactic bug, the bug might be logical and the code compiles properly, but doesn't function well.
