Great video, Tim! I agree, Dave is hilarious with great sense of humor. And the best part of the video came at the end when you mentioned there is now a 6-port for the 2038R!! I just ordered one yesterday and can’t wait til you put up the install video (hopefully soon because I’ll need all the instruction I can get). Keep up the great work
I have a tig welder, love tig, No issues with fab work. I hope to get the multiFaster 6 port and adapt my 2024 system to make this smooth. I know I want to toss some JD OEM kit parts in the trash. Hopefully I can keep it to a minimum on the Discount Hydraulic Hose side.
Interesting project. I just fixed the hose routing on my 3046R. A previous owner installed the Deere 3rd function kit, but didn't follow directions and run the extra 2 hoses inside the protective sleeve, so they were rubbing on the tire. I bought new sleeve and ran everything cleanly inside the sleeve and no more rubbing! I'd love to have a single point connection, but with a cabbed 3R, there just isn't much room to work with.
Honestly, JIC would be fine. JIC has no issues at the hydraulic pressures the 1025r can see. Above 3000 psi they get finicky. So the bottom line, it's over built. I can get the orfs braze sleeves, so it doesn't really matter. I don't mind over built as long as it doesn't break the bank.
Thank you Tim for this very informative video. You always do a great job with your presentations. Love you content and compassion for the viewer. Is there a 6 port kit for the 4066r cab tractor 2022 and newer? Thanks, Chip
Are those hydraulic lines rubbing in the variation 3 bracket at timestamp 13:32? If they are, you need to remove that chaffing. Since you seem to have some slack in those lines you can usually fix that problem by putting a bit of twist in the hose. Just loose each of the hoses, I'd do it from the quick connect fittings at the top, then use pliers or a wrench and twist the hose until it pulls away from the bracket then lock the routing by retightening the fitting. The better fix is change out a fittting and install a 45° fitting, but twisting the hose usually works.
I always called them “flat face oring” instead of “oring face seal” but either term describes them well. I have also run into a few male JIC fittings that had an oring halfway up the tapered male nose. Not very common but some of the New Holland backhoes had them.

@@dylanhockaday9878 ok, well, the 6 port would take care of everything cept your tank line. Would still be a big help, and you wouldn’t need your tank line for most operations.
I just bought a 1025r 2024 from reynolds. Ifiuc you are in the area. I ilve in the Lebanon IN area. I' m currently investigating the 6 port single point connector.
Hmmm, I wonder if it would work on my Kubota B2601. It also has hardlines to the existing 4 port quick coupler. I'll have to check the bracket on the tractor to see if the two extra ports would clear it. If it does get in the way, would it be feasible to raise it up by using extra fittings between the hardlines and the new 6port bracket?
Another sales point for the Multi-Faster 6-port v3 is Deere has officially marked the OEM kit (BXX10283) as incompatible with the 2025R. The bracket apparently interferes with the larger front wheel. As I understand, this kit from Discount Hydraulic doesn't suffer from the same issue, so when the loader I have on order from Deere shows up, that's what I'll be using.
It is possible. Order the v3 kit…then, get hoses to replace the hardlines that go under the floorboard. So, you’ll need 4 new hoses. Are you near me? If so, I could help.
Hopefully I can get just the 6 port and some orb->orfs 45s. Not really anything I can do with the other stuff in the kit. I'll make the hardlines to go from the JD OEM 3rd function to the single point. I don't mind making my own hardlines. My OCD demands it! Not sure it is possible to avoid paying for stuff one doesn't need (in either the 6 point kkit or the JD oem Kit). Lots of wasted money to make it easier for the OEM.
Hi Tim. I have the original Faster 4-port Single Point Connector on my 1025r with the older flat face connectors. Can I get and replace those with the connect under pressure type? If so, what size would those need to be?
Patients that I have dealt with in years past from high pressure injected hydraulic fluid ended up with an amputation. There was no way from what the ER doctor said at the Level I trauma center to clean the fluid out of the tissue an the tissue would become necrotic.
For the new model years if you don't get the factory 4 port installed can you use the DiscountHydraulic kit in that scenario? Not sure if that would have hoses instead of those hard lines you showed. I tried to ask DiscountHydraulic and they said to contact you
@@TractorTimewithTim I forgot to ask if the factory third function itself is ok with the full v3? Its just the factory single point thats the problem right? Thanks for the quick reply
Yes that is correct. When working with oil under pressure, it is important to relieve pressure when servicing or check for oil leaks using a piece of cardboard. If an oil injection injury happens it is important to seek medical attention right away. The oil will have to be surgically removed. Otherwise gangrene can occur and it can lead to death. Google oil injection injury to see what it looks like (graphic).
