I'm very confused about question 5 regarding your workload. In the stem, your colleague is on the breast team, whereas you are on the colorectal team - is it normal in the NHS to cross-over teams? Also, what is the colorectal consultant gonna do about an intern on the breast surgery team?
Hello Ronan, excellent question. In the NHS, general surgery training often encompasses breast surgery and colorectal before trainees specialise so this is a special case where the two specialities share a ward and likely share a wider team. It is not a long term solution to ask Jenny to help which is why this answer also prioritises speaking to your consultant to more evenly share the jobs in the future. I hope that makes some sense!
Thank you so much, this is very helpful
Hi hi thanks Josephine and the team. Could you please point me to the practice papers? Couldn’t find them anywhere online
