    Thanks Roger! It’s probably been thirty years since I repaired a sink faucet. I just needed to see how the damn thing comes apart. Mine was a little different but not so much that it made it difficult. Your tutorial was perfect.

    I learn something new every day! My dad was a plumber but passed away before he could teach me all these things. Thank goodness for gentlemen like yourself! Fixed my faucet and saved some much needed cash!

    Thanks buddy! Fixed my faucet in 15 mins, first video in the list when searching "Fix my two lever leaky faucet", plumbers and faucet manufactures beware, with videos like this more people are going to be doing it themselves and not just buying new ones! :)

    Roger, you saved my bacon! I have the exact same faucet set and got down to the part for removing the valve insets but mine just wouldn't budge. So I was concerned about pulling too hard...maybe some threads involved but your demo confirmed the valve insets were just jammed and I screwed the top phillips screw back in the top of the inset and pulled on that. Finally after a lot of huffing and puffing the valve insets came out. Much appreciate your video.

    Thank you boss! My stem was built into my handle and all I did was follow your instructions and removed the stem and installed the stem and tightened it up manually then added the handle cover back on last! Like brand new! Thanks for the video! Much help!

    Wow, yea - perfect! This is my exact Moen sink, and this morning, I noticed the hot and cold water handles on my kitchen sink (which has only been in my kitchen a couple of years) seem loose and wiggly. I think, thanks to your video, that I can repair this myself!

    Roger, Thank you so much for posting this video. It was so helpful. It just so happens that I have this exact Moen faucet and it was leaking like crazy. I saw your video and figured it needed new cartridges model 2412 and did the job myself. Thanks so much again !!!

    I have that same faucet. I was ready to replace the cartridges, but upon taking it apart, realized the whole handle had corroded... so have to replace the whole faucet. I was lifting up the whole sink trying to lift off the handle after taking out the screw.

    When you pulled that thingy out it looked just like mine. When you say if it don't fix leak then replace the faucet. Do you mean the whole sink faucet or just the thing you pulled out with the O rings on it?

    I have a squeaky faucet, but cannot get it apart. Need some advice. I got the handle off, but when I try turning the metal nut above the escutcheon, the whole escutcheon turns, along with the hoses attached beneath the sink. Could not remove the escutcheon, so I aborted the project. Any advice?

      I think I found it on Moen's site. If I'm right, it's Model: CA87876... (discontinued). It's a Lexie Chrome Two-Handle High Arc Kitchen Faucet. Check the photo at: www.moen.com/support/Lexie/Lexie_Chrome_twohandle_high_arc_kitchen_faucet/CA87876 to make sure it's the right model. (Hope that helps.)

    Usually American Standard or Moen would send you a complete pair of cartridges to replace a leak, with nothing saying about rings. This guy just took off the rings and put them back on again as far as I could tell.

    I don't get it...what did he repair? He removed the 2 "O" rings and replaced them again and that fixed the leak? i thought he would have at least replaced those old rings with new ones.

    • @benshomshor4822
      @benshomshor4822 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Anthony You are correct, but I trust that if was doing a repair, rather than a quick "how to" demo, he would have replaced them with new "O" rings. Also, might as well do the other one at the same time.

    If he is a Home Repair guy then I really hope this isn't his house. Apart from the grunge around the faucet, look at both electrical outlets. Really smart to have them out like that, especially around water... what could go wrong? Also, look at the big coil on the stove in front. The metal bowl/ring is missing. That is what stops chucks of shit from ending up under the heating elements and on top of the oven.
