Hi Jay, I’m Steve, so growing up I bumped around this area in Chignecto in the 90’s fishing and bird hunting. I lived in the neighbouring community of Nappan. Glad to see you can still get in there as I’ve been thinking about taking my kids in for a look. Nice to see there’s still trout in the fishing hole too. I’m pretty sure the reference to 1992 would be when the power plant in Maccan stopped operating. It was on Harrison lake. I’ve seen old pictures of the community around the Chignecto mine and the Edison power plant. There were many houses on the hillside above the brook. Thanks for sharing.
How much air pressure are you running in the tires? I put the nuetech 'tubless' system on my bike.. Not DOT approved, but you can ridiculously low air pressure for amazing off road traction with no pinch flats. The low air pressure allows the tire to eat the small chop on the trail that the suspension can't keep up with.
Michelin anakee wild calls for 36psi rear 32 front . I'm dropping that after a few heat cycles . Not drastically but a little. If I plan to do a long single track or sand I'll half it. The radial carcass is cause. First hand from installing them, these tires were like mounting concrete unlike a dirtbike tire. Or the bias ply I took off it
Nice video. Hard to believe we played on that dam when I was a kid.
I grew up in Chignecto. It has alot of interesting history. Theres an Indian burial ground as well.

Go street legal.. KTM or Husky 350-500.. Basically similar spec as a dirt bike with a plate for leaving from your house.
