excellent video. Wow! Superb instruction. I’ve been waiting for you guys to finally include Davinci Resolve! I purchased your product back in 2021. But you didn’t have any resolve features. So glad you do now! Thank you so very much! Everyone I know is switching to Resolve!
Thank you from Brazil for all the info you provide! Please, how can I obtain the trailer to add to my timeline? Shall I download it from TH-cam? Very basic question, I am sorry. Tks a lot!
sorry, i don't understand step 5 - do you use 2 lumetri color effect (1 for teal and 1 for orange), or you work inside one? I don't understand how you start to work with warm colors after isolating cool colors, why all parameters and color wheel reset?
Thanks for the video it is really so clear and informative ! you explained the "why" you have to do this and that so well for people interested in learning like me (beginners) is such a 💎 thank you
You're very welcome and indeed we tried as best we could to explain the whys. I don't know if we fully gave it justice but I'm glad it gave you some insights.
Thanks for the video :) Interesting, it looks as if the colors are really "weird" at first glance, but they managed to keep skin tones "normal", between hue 20-30 most scenes.
Does this work with Canon r6 log? if not can i get refund? i already purchased cinema grade from you..but still i cannot get cinematic look on my footage.
Hey, thanks again for a great video, Denver. When I saw the trailer to this film I couldn't believe how exaggerated the colors looked. It's so distractingly orange that it almost hurt my eyes.
I watched Asteroid City in cinema. It looks a little bit less red in the saturation. Just a nuance but it looks much better in the silver screen then in the TH-cam trailer.
Hey guys i have a question,.. recently i’ve completed grading for a film, the client was happy and the look came well.. but now the client wants to change the edit, the editor did necessary changes and shared XML & EDL files of the changed edit.. now my question is , is there any easy way to update the edit in the timeline where all the clips were already colored ? Or i just have to apply the grade to each clip individually
One request, when you show people how to use the tools, could you also show it for Lightroom, I was following along with doing it in Lightroom happily then we got to Step 5 and it all went to pot :)
I wouldn't be able to sit through 2 hours of looking at what at first glance appears to be film that was improperly developed. Imagine trying to sit through The Wizard of Oz in this style.
Haha it is bit strong or overcooked. There’s always a reason why Wes uses these treatments, there exposes that deep dive into this though we were just diving into the mechanics of the look.
For once, I am completely against the look of this wes anderson movie. Even tho it is shot on film which I love, it's unnatural and completely over the top. Making it look at if it were a cheap imitation of a wes anderson movie.
I think that directors, storytellers, movie buffs talk about story and themes, whereas directors of photography, colorists, and other artists look more solely at the creative aesthetic.
Love this 1960's family summer vacation super 8mm color grade!
Yeah, that’s a good way to describe the look
Straight to the point and can be implemented immediately across all major softawre. Now this is a tutorial. Great job!

Thank you kindly for that 🙏🏼 yes that is the trend.
You are just a boss... Best and simple Colorgrading hacks
Awesome! Love your take on this look 🙂
Thank you!! 😊
I prefer this method ngl.

Thank you so much for the tutorial. May I ask how to add a 2nd HSL Secondary for the orange part? Since the 1st HSL is used for the teal part.
Love this! Thanks for sharing and will use on my video too!
Amazing explanation! Love how you put this together, so easy to understand :)
So glad to hear that, I'm grateful for that comment 🤲🏼
Great explanation as always! I hope I can get your course someday❤
Thank you kindly 🙏🏼
@@colorgradingcentral Thank YOU
Man I love Wes Anderson's colour grading and looks. I'm so excited to see you talk about this.
Thanks @77dris!
thanks

Great tutorial! Can you please make a tutorial about how to make the text you have in the video 🙏
Thanks for the video :) Interesting, it looks as if the colors are really "weird" at first glance, but they managed to keep skin tones "normal", between hue 20-30 most scenes.
Good point!
Thanks for considering all 3 software users.
Awesome please do a tutorial for that text style you used 😍❤
Awesome video very interesting of colors 😊👏👏
Thank you 🤗
Thanks for the tutorial. Sorry for the gear question, but what is that touch screen monitor you are using? I’ve been looking for something similar.
This is the Microsoft Surface Studio
I already have cinema grade... how do i get the lut ?
Thank you, super useful
Nice grading tutorial. You swapped your Resolve Advanced panel for a Microsoft Surface?
Still have both, but since I do a lot of testing on, both Mac and Windows platform, makes the most sense to have the surface studio
Does this work with Canon r6 log? if not can i get refund? i already purchased cinema grade from you..but still i cannot get cinematic look on my footage.

I agree it is a tad much
Thanks for sharing! Super useful
Which touch screen is that? Looks nice
This is Microsoft Surface Studio
How about a video on "The Seven Year Itch" starring Marilyn Monroe or "Hail Caesar" starring Josh Brolin
Great tutorial!!
It's wild to me that Adobe hasn't created CinemaGrade. It's literally Lightroom for video.
@colorgradingcentral what is the track name at 4:50?
does it work if I buy the basic one, or which one do I have to buy ?
Basic allows you to grade clips individually and Pro let's you copy grades from one clip to another and at a final look to multiple clips at once.
I watched Asteroid City in cinema. It looks a little bit less red in the saturation. Just a nuance but it looks much better in the silver screen then in the TH-cam trailer.
Thanks for the observation. Trailers graded for the web, and mobile devices are generally different than the theatrical release.
Can existing customers get the LUTs?
Yes, send us an email for details

You should be able to, just make sure you relink to the same clips with the new xml
@@colorgradingcentral but the relinked clips will not be having the grade i had done previously right?
Can you replicate nike look comercial "retro" plsss
can we get the lut too if we already purchased cinema grade long time ago :D ?
Yes send us an email
@@colorgradingcentral for the old customers you can only offer discount, but no free lut, that’s what support told me
Hate that color grade, but you did an amazing recreate look! 👏
Yeah it’s not for everybody 😅
I get it directly from cam
😂
how? film simulation?
What cam? Any filters within?

Just sent my email! I’ve been using this plugin since 2019 🙌🏽😎
thanks!
great job
Happy Guru Purnima from India
nice
This movie lut look price ₹ 99
👌👏😍

Can I get this LUT I have been on your email 📧 list since forever
It's only available through Cinema Grade.
@@colorgradingcentral ok do you have an iOS version of cinema grade on iPhone 📱 that would be so cool
I heard he just maxed out the saturation & used an instagram filter.
😂
This color grading should not be recreated under any circumstances. It should be erased from existence.
Making it look at if it were a cheap imitation of a wes anderson movie.
but why ??? looks so bad
Everytime a Wes Anderson movie is mentioned by film peers, it’s always about the signature color palette and never about the content of movie.
I think that directors, storytellers, movie buffs talk about story and themes, whereas directors of photography, colorists, and other artists look more solely at the creative aesthetic.
tried this in davinci resolve my image looked totally out of wack.
