Hey Chelsea, I had mentioned on your Patreon page that I was knitting a Cozy Comfort with my Advent yarns and knitting with black yarn between each color. Since I couldn't stand the thought of picking up and doing an Icord around all the edges I actually am knitting a black I cord up the sides as I go - means I have to have 3 balls of yarn going at all times - but so worth it and so far I am in love with the results. Too funny that you mentioned no snow on this podcast and as I watch this it has been snowing for two days! Sweet Shop blanket is next on my list. Thanks for a new podcast - loving it! Happy 10 years and I so remember you under the Christmas tree!
Congratulations on 10 years! Such a milestone! The blankets are gorgeous , as well as all the other knitted beauties! Chelsea, The Paper Palace is great…you’ll love it. ❤
Happy New Year! Happy 10 years! You had me laughing so much I was sad it had to end. The blankets are so beautiful and I cannot wait to start one of my own. Thank you for sharing.
10 years, wow! I remember watching the first episode. I love all the blankets! I have the sweet shop blanket pattern and want to start it so bad, but I have so many blanket WIP’s.
Sue, it’s easy to count stitches in a rib. If your sweater has a ribbed waistband or neckband cast on, just count the stitches and check the pattern to see what size matches your stitch .
Just found you on a rainy, grey, stay in PJ's and knit day on the east coast of Australia just north of Sydney. Loved your podcast as I knit a scrappy corner-to-corner lap blanket. Now I'm going to binge watch your episodes. Your relationship is wonderful and gives me hope and a positive feeling for good in society. Judy, Nelson Bay, New South Wales, Australia.
Hahahaha! just resumed watching podcast and you just mentioned my name. Too funny! FYI - I am using Berroco Vintage Baby for my black yarn. so, so soft.
I just love watching you all. I talk back and my husband always knows who I'm watching. I'm still working on my Legacy jellyroll blanket. After that one I want to do the sweet shop and the cozy comfort throw. I plan on just buying dk yarn skeins and dividing them up between the 2.
I'm obsessed with Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetti books! They are great mysteries, and I love the characters! Love you ladies! Happy Anniversary! You have inspired me and my girls so much, thank you!❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Chelsea you totally inspired me to knit the Vienna scarf. I just pulled out all my Woolens and Nosh scraps and mohair and am ready to cast on!! I love yours!!
Congrats on 10 years!! I just bought my first skein of cashmere.... you talked me into it with those beautiful socks! Also, I popped over to K Jones and bought the pattern as well.... NOW what to do while I wait for the yarn to arrive......
Congrats on 10 years! Love the hope colorway, it reminds me of my baby blanket that I still have packed away, but it’s hanging on by threads…. Going to check out some of the books you recommended. I just finished The throne of glass series by Sarah J Maas. Not my usual genre, but it was so good! I’m thinking of reading Lonesome Dove. I bought it last year for a read along that The Bookshelf in Thomasville, GA was doing, but never started it 😂
10 years , your the vetrans congrats for the longevity...happy 20205, i moved to virginia in 2022 so its been a journey so far i miss NY too. but im closer to my grandkids now so thats the best.
There are so many things I want to say, but to keep everyone from getting bored, I'll stick to the most important. Chelsea, please teach Lily to be kind to herself. It's not so much showing her progress and how much better her colouring is, which is external, but how to treat herself, which is internal. 💗 I loved hearing what you're reading and watching. A couple of books I read recently that I thought were good are The Frozen RIver, and Starling House. Oh, also The Midnight Bargain.
Oh my God watching your podcast and I saw your collection with mohair. I had one mitt made except for the thumb using pattern from Francis Feek, My Dutch Gansey Mitts. (I think it's a free pattern I'm not exactly sure). But I ripped the whole thing out to remake it with mohair!!😅😅😅. And yay am I so glad. I Will probably take artistic license on the pattern because it's a very colorful ball of yarn and now with mohair you probably won't see the pattern so I'll just knit the whole thing but lol so glad I saw your podcast before I started on the second one. Love you guys!
Happy podiversary! I’ve enjoyed spending time with you both from the beginning-from the days of emergency snacks and trying vegemite! It’s always enjoyable! And Sue-I didn’t turn up my volume but turned on my close captioning when you whispered!😂
For the forgotten sizing, I've done this... count the sts on your bottom hem. That should give you a good idea what size you made. Unless you made modifications.
A couple book suggestions….. God of the Woods by Liz Moore, Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi, The One Hundred Years of Lenin & Margot by Marianne Cronin, The River We Remember by William Kent Krueger. Happy New Year to you both!
Congrats on your 10th anniversary! ❣ My book recommendation is The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. It's not what everyone is reading right now or newly released but it will pull you in.
Everytime you show a new scrappy blanket it makes me want to buy more yarn. When my oldest son was 4, I crocheted a blanket for him before he had a medical procedure. My younger son keeps telling me "Id like a blanket you never made me when I was 4." He's 8.
Just some books I recently enjoyed. Love watching your podcast. Looking forward to ordering Hope and Breathe. Here are a few of my recent reads The Wrong Daughter by Dandy Smith; The God of the Woods by Liz Moore; The Last One at the Wedding by Jason Rekulak; and By Any Other Name. By Jodi Picoult. I have downloaded Hoopla through my library and now all my audio and ebooks are free. 😊
I highly recommend Barbara Kingsolver’s Animal, Vegetable, Miracle! It is (of course) well written- but also different from her fiction novels!!! And the family element is a perfect fit for you both!
My great grandson’s birthday was today and he turned nine and he went to see the sonic movie yesterday with his mother. He said it was the best one he’s ever seen.
Jen Geigley has a sweater pattern called 1999 based on the 1999 stripe motif. I did a striped DK baby blanket during most of 2024 and I have lots of leftovers so I was going to do that sweater, and then with those leftovers, do a striped scarf. Hopefully that will all get underway in 2025.
The new color is so pretty! Love it! Happy new year everyone ❤
I HAD THAT GAP SWEATER!!!!! Ahhh I’d forgotten about how pretty it was!

It has been so nice catching up with you, ladies! Happy 10 years!🎉 And your new colorway is beautiful. 💓
Congratulations on 10 years! I was there already at the beginning! ❤ Sending you lots of hope and love from Vienna Austria❤❤
Happy New Year! Happy 10 years! You had me laughing so much I was sad it had to end. The blankets are so beautiful and I cannot wait to start one of my own. Thank you for sharing.
You two are just a delight! Congratulations on 10 years!

Love your scarf. I immediately downloaded the pattern. Reminded me somewhat of the United Colors of Benetton.
Congrats on 10 years!! I just bought my first skein of cashmere.... you talked me into it with those beautiful socks! Also, I popped over to K Jones and bought the pattern as well.... NOW what to do while I wait for the yarn to arrive......

Very enjoyable video. I didn't pick up the name of Amy Beth's podcast. Would you provide?
Same

The Fairground Socks by Kay Jones also has the umbrella toe. 💜💜
Sue, your sweater looks wonderful!
I listened to Sipsworth by Simon Van Booy. It's a fairly short read, and I loved it, myself being "a woman of a certain age". 📚
Happy podiversary!

Keep hope alive everyone. I love the colorway and the sentiment.

So in love with the scarf and mittens! It’s def in my near future!

I always love you two!
Happy Golden Birthday to your sweet girl!
Happy New Year, from Swansea, Illinois. ❤❤🎉🎉🎉 We have snow and ice 7” total.

Great podcast - Just ordered my Hope Cozy Toes!
Very cool watching your mother daughter hands naturally move in sync while you were knitting. 💕🧶
Thank you for the podcast
My great grandson’s birthday was today and he turned nine and he went to see the sonic movie yesterday with his mother. He said it was the best one he’s ever seen.

Shelby Van Pelt- Remarkably Bright Creatures is a great light hearted book.
You may really like the show “Somebody Somewhere” on MAX. It is so good and gives the same vibes as Schitt’s Creek.
Can the Cozy Comfort Throw be knit with fingering weight yarn not held double? I have a lot of fingering weight advent minis.
I love- I specialize in mindless! lol me too
My favorite book of 2024 was The Women.
I haven’t seen Romo for a long time. Is he still around or are the dog noises from Sue’s dog?😊
Who was the bag maker/podcaster for the bag your Sweet Shop Blanket is in?
Had to Google Cool Whip! (I'm in the UK)
To wash your blanket, how about putting it in a large lingerie bag might work. I bought a set from Amazon.
