The heart must break before it can heal in an open state. Unconditional self love is the first step to true healing for us AND unconditional love for others. Sadly most of us need to lose almost everything painfully until we realise this.
Song of healing is about those who lost everything and feel alone and feel they had no meaning when they were alive. The song helps tell them they are loved more than they know and will be remembered forever in there hearts and memories and telling them that can rest now.

My comment said alot of what I trying to say, it's sad though, this song makes me feel the sorrow like even though Zelda is fiction of course lol. This song makes me feel the sorrow of Link when he was born as the hero of time. It's sad, it feels like you can feel him as he fades away into dreams, waiting to teach the new the hero of Twilight.

i played majoras mask when i was 10. i survived a suicidal depression with 17. Another major depression with 25. This game was preparing me for the dark times in life, everybody of us must face. Now when i hear the song of healing (in german it's called Lied der Befreiung, which means song of freeing, what is a very accurate translation) it just calms my stressed mind

When I feel lonely , lost or just forgotten by people I call friends, I’m listen to this song. I have a big connection to it since I was a child. The skull kid was always one of my favorite characters out of the game, because I related so much to him , when I was younger. Nowadays I see myself sometimes searching for love.. and people who treat me with love and respect. And sometimes this need and frustration turns into hate.

Zelda Universe I only recently discovered lyrical versions to this song a couple of weeks ago, specifically the first verse. This has set the standard. Very creative. I'd love to hear a 3rd verse in between these 2.

How the hell is BOTW 2 going to be darker than this game without being "edgy"
If a game is too edgy, does it become too edgy to be edgy?
It won't be, the atmosphere in Botw 2 is nothing compared to the gritty 64 version. Pretty doubtful the music will even come close to the Majora's mask version. And then we have the story in Majora's mask which focuses on side missions, so maybe we will have that in Botw 2.

I am moving across Canada in three days. I will let go of my friendships here, and cast it away. I am really sad, the bond between me and my friends was really strong, but I'll have to move on. "Of course there is always better, but there is always worst, too. But don't get stuck with only what you know, because being stuck in the past only denies access to a new future."
But if the bonds between you and your friends are truly forged by emotions and trust, then the winds will carry the feelings across, allowing no distance to let them fade away. Some bonds are weak, some bonds are strong, but a heart truly yearning for love shall prevail as the greatest haven to keep them at bay. Two of those connected, will last for a lifetime.

The good news is:
Energy cannot be destroyed, it can only change form! We are made of energy! We never cease to exist! And we're always aware! We're also always experiencing something!
I remember being under general anesthesia when I was getting my wisdom teeth out. It was black the whole time, but that's okay! The brain does not create consciousness/awareness. There is also no such thing as nothingness, and you're always seeing something. Consciousness/awareness exists in the universe, outside the brain, and has always existed, even before we were born. Consciousness will continue to exist for all of eternity. Even if it's black for a while, it won't be black forever. And even if it is, you'll be fine! The dark is nothing to fear! Consciousness/awareness pervades in the universe! There is in fact something after death, either you go to Heaven, you come back as a ghost, or you reincarnate. There is a period of time where everything is black, but it's only temporary!
The fact that I saw "black" instead of true nothingness means I wasn't truly unconscious! Consciousness/awareness cannot be destroyed!
Dr. Eben Alexander remembered seeing Heaven in a coma when his brain activity was next to none (not enough that he should have been conscious!) In fact, he even recognized someone in a photo months after his coma that he saw in his coma that he had never even met before. This person had been deceased for several months, maybe even a few years! Good news, right? It means there really is life after death!
There's such a thing as reduced consciousness/awareness, but true unconsciousness/complete lack of awareness is impossible!
The darkness you experience after death is only temporary.
I also remember being under general anesthesia in the hospital, and I could see and hear everything around me, despite the fact that I was completely out. It means my spirit was outside my body and I was having an out-of-body experience. I was astral projecting, and my consciousness/awareness was still there, outside my brain!
All of this means life after death, heaven, ghosts, aliens, reincarnation, God, etc., are REAL! Great news!
Being unconscious, at least in medical standards, means to be unresponsive. It doesn't mean you're not aware in some way or form.
Many people think general anesthesia knocks you completely unconscious. However, this is not true. Our awareness exists in the universe, outside the brain, has always existed, and continues to exist for all of eternity. General anesthesia works by *interrupting nerve signals in the brain and body.* It does not knock you out completely, in fact, like I said, consciousness/awareness cannot be destroyed.

this song...its something i cant even put intl words. ive been listening to this song ever since it came out in 2017. its 2022. every timie i listen to this song instead of thinking ofthe game and the expiriences it has given me, i think of my own past, my many many many mistakes, how i tried and failed to find who i am and what my purpose is in life. i think of my family. this song makes me wish i was a kid again. i would do anything to go back and fix it all. to invest more time into the ones that i had so little time with. death is a part of life that is unavoidable. yet you can accept it and move on. to let bygones be bygones and die in peace. this song remides me of the death expeiriences i have had. from losing those i love to almsot dying several times myself. but to those reading this: its never too late to turn your life for the better, to find your purpose and live a rich and fufilling life. dont make the same mistakes i did. cherish those you love. hold what you love daerly and closely. find who you are and what you want to do. never stop striving to carve your own path. push to be the best person you can be. so that way when it is your time, you will be happy with the live you have had. so then, you can rest in peace. never forget. and no matter what, treat evreyone you meet with kindness. since those you have treated well earlier in life may sing their own song of healing for you and your life. this is what i had to say.
Ya know, the song itself hits hard already when you know the story if the game, but adding lyrics to it hits on a whole different level of hard.

I have the best news! I may have been to Heaven, before, when I (almost) died, and it is absolutely beautiful. It is a beautiful valley, filled with trees, grass, flowers, animals (such as butterflies), waterfalls, and more. Consciousness/awareness pervades in the universe! There is in fact something after death, either you go to Heaven, you come back as a ghost, or you reincarnate. There is a period of time where everything is black, but it's only temporary!
The fact that I saw "black" instead of true nothingness means I wasn't truly unconscious! Consciousness/awareness cannot be destroyed!
Dr. Eben Alexander remembered seeing Heaven in a coma when his brain activity was next to none (not enough that he should have been conscious!) In fact, he even recognized someone in a photo months after his coma that he saw in his coma that he had never even met before. This person had been deceased for several months, maybe even a few years! Good news, right? It means there really is life after death!
There's such a thing as reduced consciousness/awareness, but true unconsciousness/complete lack of awareness is impossible!
The darkness you experience after death is only temporary.
I also remember being under general anesthesia in the hospital, and I could see and hear everything around me, despite the fact that I was completely out. It means my spirit was outside my body and I was having an out-of-body experience. I was astral projecting, and my consciousness/awareness was still there, outside my brain!
All of this means life after death, heaven, ghosts, reincarnation, God, etc., are REAL! Great news!
Being unconscious, at least in medical standards, means to be unresponsive. It doesn't mean you're not aware in some way or form.
Many people think general anesthesia knocks you completely unconscious. However, this is not true. Our awareness exists in the universe, outside the brain, has always existed, and continues to exist for all of eternity. General anesthesia works by *interrupting nerve signals in the brain and body.* It does not knock you out completely, in fact, like I said, consciousness/awareness cannot be destroyed.
According to an article I read, EVERYTHING is made of energy, including thoughts, consciousness, feelings, and even the human body! And energy CANNOT BE DESTROYED! This means I was right about the fact that we never cease to exist! In fact, NOTHING ceases to exist! Ever! The energy that lives within us does not disappear after death, even when everything goes black temporarily. Our energy simply gets rearranged! A few quotes from the article I found include:

Since all matter and psychological processes - thought, beliefs, emotions, and consciousness - are composed of energy, the physical body is therefore the manifestation or representation of an energy field made of superimposed dynamic segments of vibration.
-Nothing rests. Everything vibrates. Everything, in some subtle way, moves.
(Fully) ceasing to exist after death? Our consciousness (completely) disappearing? Not likely!

What I am about to tell you is great news for people who don't believe! I can say with utmost confidence that the teaching of eternal torment in Hell is a lie. It is a false teaching that is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit because it implies that God is sadistically cruel and vindictive when in fact he is the exact opposite. He is loving, kind, caring, forgiving, omnipresent, and omnipotent. God IS Love! Now, to talk about it in more detail, we first need to know the origin of this blasphemous teaching. This teaching comes from a mistranslation of the word "Sheol", which simply means the state or abode of the dead. It also comes from a mistranslation of "Gehenna", which is a literal garbage dump outside the state and city of Jerusalem. Another misinterpretation is that of an "eternal fire." Eternal fire means a fire that has eternal consequences, not one that doesn't go out. A city in Israel was "destroyed by an eternal fire", but this fire has gone out. It's just that the fire permanently destroyed said city.
There is biblical proof of universal reconciliation, for example, Colossians 1:19-20 (New International Version), which says "For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross."
The Bible also says that God desires to save everyone. How could people teach something so false, cruel, and blasphemous as a SCARE TACTIC into making someone Christian? It is so wrong! You might be surprised to find that out of the entire Old Testament, there's not one mention of eternal torment. In fact, this concept is nowhere to be found in the Old Testament. The state of the dead is actually quite comforting. They are in a state of deep sleep, they cannot possibly feel any pain. Considering this, it means they still exist in some form, and are not suffering. The worst that happens after death is that you see black for a while due to being "unconscious", but you're technically still aware, and it's not scary!

I always try to remind myself this before I fall asleep: It won't be black forever. Even if it's black for a while, I'll be fine. I'm pretty sure I saw black in between reincarnating (at the end of my most recent past life), and I was totally fine. I wasn't anxious, or anything like that.
