actually the starting price of neo65 is also $100 if a plate is included - we did not specify the plateless configs because that is kinda misleading (most wouldn't pick that config anyway)
Thanks for the review! Appreciate the honesty about the color. I wish it was more of a wine or burgundy red. I think I'm going with an ano finish since the spray coat is less smooth
It's too bad that they didn't stick with the ano red since it's amazing on their Neo65. Interesting how it seems to retain flex with the magnetic connection. It's hard to see if that connection has any flex but it seems like it does? Amazing that this still retains the feel.
hey, was watching one of your video's and really enjoyed it! I noticed that you are very active in the comment section and was wondering if you could tell me what you use to make your stabs sound better, I am new to keyboard buidling and wanted to make them sound better by fixing the ratteling from the keycaps. Hope youre doing well and have a great day!
Thanks man! I try to be pretty responsive to most comments. For stabs I actually don't spend a long time tuning. I apply a little 205g0 to the housings and some dielectric grease to the wires. I find that setup generally yeilds rattle free stabs though I add more sielectric grease if it's still rattley
Thanks! The jc studio caps definitely exceeded my expectations quality wise. The legends are very crisp and consistent for dye sub pbt and the texture is pleasant to my fingers. My only only gripe is that the keycaps are so thick that the spacebar ends up a little thuddy.
Very nice video, just subscribed to the channel. Trying to decide between this and a Monsgeek board, both aluminum and around the same price range though the M7 is a bit cheaper. How do you think they compare?
Hi! How's the coating since it is spray coated ? Is it grainy ? And one more question, how the separated 10% section sounds compared to the rest of the 60% section ?
It's definitely a coarser texture, not quite grainy but not smooth. The separated 10% section sounds thinner, especially on the edge keys, but towards the middle it sounds fine. It's a little weird with the gasket flex being separate lol
@@SimulatorTech Really appreciate the answers. I was torn whether I would get this too or just stick with the cycle7 gb. Thanks a lot, it definitely helps with my decision! Yeah I could imagine the flex being different if you use o ring. One thing I personally don't like about neo65 is the bounciness of the gasket. If you type on one side, the other side also vibrates. I really wish they introduce different stiffness for the dumbells like on the envoy or frog.
Hi I decided to buy neo70 because of this video, especially because "sound test 1". Now I'm looking for a keycaps set for my neo70. Can you give me a review which is better CRP or JC Studio keycaps?
@@SimulatorTech I think sound tests over 15 seconds in review videos are fluff that really should be in a separate video, but that being said, I still appreciate foam sound tests because they still give you an idea of how it sounds. And foam lovers still want an idea of how things will sound in different boards. It's an overpowering mod sometimes yeah, but it's not like people that like it should be excluded.

Thank you for doing this. One of things that really annoyed me with marketing of previous QK boards.
fwiw, i will be picking up the $80 config, and going plateless. :)
This chanel is so underated I love how you just state your opinion and dont pad it down at all

Nice. I kind of want to do a plateless build of one.
Can't wait for mine

Thank you for responding@@SimulatorTech, Appreciate the advice (:
Great review! Can you give a mini review of those jc studio keycaps? How do you like them?

Alu plate, no foam gasket mount config was perff
How the sponsorship has been done? Do you have to message them to ask for a sponsorship or they’ll need to message you if they’re interested in.
Most companies reach out to me, but in this case, I reached out to qwertykeys
What keycaps are these? I need em!
Jc studio Red Cyrillic !

I would go with the neo. There's a lot more options for the plate, color, mounting method, etc. Also I think it looks and sounds better

I haven't tried crp before but idt you can go wrong with either. I really like the jc studio caps
Thx for the reply, how about PBTfans vs JCstudio?@@SimulatorTech
I also haven't tried pbtfans lol
ooh okay then 😂@@SimulatorTech
Nice!
Switches?
Neo White switches
Thank you, also is this better than the moms geek m3?@@SimulatorTech
I think so yeah
My bad I meant monsgeek@@SimulatorTech
Hey @SimulatorTech this is a weird question but, is there anyway I can pay you to build me a keyboard?
Hola
Hi
No need for foam sound tests, my dude. All foam boards sound the same.
Yeah I guess I was kinda self conscious because a guy on my jris80 video complained about a lack of foam sound tests 😅
