@@KeebClack lol thanks for the kind words. They are bad by today’s standards in keyboards. I whipped those renders up in less than 5 minutes trying to not lose the opportunity. I am I no way an expert in rendering, but it got the job done!

I’m curious why you chose not to add any mods to this keyboard. Do you have a personal philosophy on this?
While the keyboard did sound great I felt that it sounded pretty hollow. Personally I love the deeper sound you can achieve with foam and/or tape.
Mods are generally strayed away from for higher end keyboards, as they tend to make all keebs sound the same/very similar, ruining the uniqueness of certain keebs and also the switch sound profile. Tape and foam mods are still great for lower end keyboards. The premium high end keeb community has started to look down on the foamy deep sound (although I still personally love it).
@@edward.sometimes oh that’s really interesting as the keeb creators I watch art still modding very expensive keyboards. And are often criticizing high end customs if they do not come with foam or even tape.

It's honestly comforting that even Taeha takes ~8h for a 65% worth of switches, makes me feel less embarrassed when it takes me 10 for a 75%.

I spent half a day for two kinds of switch the first time I build Mode Sonnet + checking if all have similar feel and sound
it's about 1 hour per 10 switchs for me ;)

Very strange to make a Mac user a winkeyless keeb, he loses one of CTRL/OPT/CMD keys... Especially when 3 keys is already short of one (compared to apple keebs). It makes the keyboard kind of useless especially on a 60% where there's not many options to remap 🤷♂ Looks great tho
I always see MKBHD's keychron in his videos and I always think that he deserves a nice keeb built by Taeha. Glad it finally happened.
Loved the really clean and aesthetic video. Room for improvement: Clips of the individual for example talking about what he wanted so u could explain what you chose. And in the end some sort of delivery/ live unpacking/ reaction of the new owner would be lovely. Much love, keep it up
Thank you for the feedback! Yea I did actually intend to try and deliver the board in person but being across the country and certain circumstances made it a bit hard for me to. Hopefully future videos I can try to incorporate the collabator more!

MKBHD uses Mac, and the board in the video has CTRL ALT keys. I imagine it was shipped with Command Option keys installed?

I do worry, does he actually like a WKL layout? Most normies would consider that a no-go. I myself wouldn’t ever buy a 65% with WKL like the Bauer (TKL is different).

mkbhd is a mac user, wouldn't having WKL get rid of option which he definitely needs? anyway, very beautiful build!
Programming Caps Lock as either the MacOS or Opt key works fine! (and then programming Caps Lock as a funtion key if you do genuinely use Caps Lock often)
Command on Caps Lock, Option next to spacebar, Control bottom left. 👍 We designed the board on Mac with a Bauer 😃
Not necessarily, I'm a Mac user ande I daily drive 30% and 40% keyboards. With the right keymap no function is lost.

Question: I noticed there isn't space for a command button on the Bauer Lite case - given Marques' requirement for Mac compatibility would this not be a compromise for his needs? I love the board itself, it's probably one of the best looking builds I've seen - just curious if this was a concern during the design process. Loved the video, hope to see more collaborations like this in future!
Mac is for usable on a WLL layout. We designed the board and all our products on a Mac with this board.
You just put Command on Caps Lock, Option next to the space bar and then Control on bottom left. Honestly it’s a more ergonomic layout to have Command on R3 right next to your pinky than on the bottom row.

Kudos for the hard work, which I see you get a kick from as a hobby! I'll just be frank:
1. Don't understand the 60% layout and how people go about without the F-keys. Personally, it should be atleast 75%.
2. Don't like the design concept - too much MKBHD stuff and that too which is inside and at the bottom
3. Really like the keycaps theme
4. Don't like the sound, but that is maybe I am more into thocky, creamy and silent sound tones.
BTW, you made it public, but don't see any comments from MKBHD appreciating your efforts here!
P.S. Since people will be commenting/asking, mine is more from budget range - Keychron V1 Max modded (sound dampening and anti-vibration materials used in automobiles and sound industries; haven't seen any keeb bloggers using them, with Poron switch pads and stab pads + Durock V2 stabs modded) with $35 dollar PBT Double-Shot Cherry profiles Dark Blue/Black themed set (used in Xinmeng A66 keyboards) after 40% discount, sitting on top of Gateron G Pro 3.0 Yellow switches.
Im surprised they went with MoDo2 instead of something like Redline or Slasher with the red legends.

IDK why tf people think MKBHD is something so big. Dude's content back in the day was pretty good but nowadays, his videos don't provide useful information. I like contents that provide useful information regarding the product they are reviewing. No hate towards MKBHD but I think people are still just overhyping him.

Isn't Marques using Mac exclusively? The "Control" and "Alt" keycaps seem a bit off, even if it's a minor detail and unrelated to functionality.

Don’t all stabilizers eventually “expire” in terms of a good lube job? I’ve always wondered how the client would feel if 2-3 months into use their stabilizers start ticking again since this is inevitable.

Sorry Omni/Dixie, but that Bauer Lite is a little too late. We have better CNC aluminum keyboards for similar pricing. You should just bring back the aluminum Bauer.
This keyboard is great. But it lacks “Alt” or “Option” keys - the key that’s being used frequently on macOS. And this is the only system Marques uses.

This piece is very nice, but there are no cmd buttons, and it is not wireless, so I am not sure if the mkbhd can be truly happy with it :)

GMK 8008 would have looked so much better on this.
The whole video was beautiful, well paced, nicely explained, well lit and sounded perfect, but that typing test at the end where you really spent some time typing and let us get a proper feel for the board is the best part for me. Other channels seem to glance over this bit with only a small segment and it's a bummer, I wanna hear someone go ham on it for a moment!
