Hopefully this changes that. 🙏
Cable internet will soon be offering 10,000 mbps internet download and 1,000 mbps upload speeds which is 10 times the speed of fibre internet right now

Don’t have your router on the floor (or your computer, console, phone, etc.) not near microwave, refrigerator, wall, etc… the floor makes drastic difference and the signal basically goes right to the ground. I tested dynamically and literally watched the speed go from 300mbps to 60mbps when I placed the router on the floor. Same thing if mounted on the wall or in a corner; and the console is on that same wall for example, but many rooms away, or in another corner also… TVs also interfere with the signal. As well as distance, doors opened/closed, walls (how many rooms it goes through), and floor levels. There are more factors too, believe it or not. My FiOS router (and most routers), for example, has an internal antenna that sends the strongest signal horizontally/in-line with the router. In other words, if the router and console are in the same room, and both are 5 feet above the floor, the console will receive the stronger signal versus if the router was 7 feet above the wall, and the console was 2 feet above the wall; because the router antenna doesn’t send signal from top to bottom, but rather side to side.
