It's important to note that perks that increase your chance to catch things like trophies will decrease the amount of overall regular fish you''ll catch (the ones you fillet). So while stacking perks and bonuses will make finishing the master angler achievement much easier, you can't say the same thing about fishing for roes. Instead you'll only want things that decrease time to bite, like the aforementioned "Sharp's Memento" and the "Reel Technique" Champion Perk. And if you're curious about unpacking all that, a gentleman by the name of "MyNameIsElias" (he's completed master angler 30 times) has a post about it on the forums with a bunch a math and diagrams.
Thank god, Ive been looking for a more recent fishing guild for ESO. I have just started playing and noticed there wasnt a lot of information about fishing, gear, buffs, etc. Thanks for making this video.
That depends on what your goal is, if you’re looking to make some gold, I believe yes Artaeum is recognized as a lucrative zone to fish in. If u follow the link I put in the video description you can get a better idea of what drops from certain zones and plan your fishing accordingly 😄
Unfortunately the more important parts are missing :/ - where to get baits? Except for insect parts, i kind off struggle to get them in 'bigger' numbers. - Also .... baits count as crafting ingredients and having the crafting bag from ESO+ helps managing them a lot. - theres also a generic bait, that you can buy from vendors, but it has a good chance to not catch anything. - Lately ppl claim that you can fish up luminous ink (after completing the scribing quest line). - How many champion points do you need at minimum to unlock the fishing perks? (Only 1/3 of the cp goes into the crafting perks and the fishing ones are not, where you start to put your cp into.)
I appreciate the feedback, the objective of the video is to be more of an introduction to fishing for beginners, so mentioning the sources of bait you dont get by fishing would have been a good point to include, I agree. As for the other things mentioned, I will consider including more details like those in the future, im still pretty new to making these guides and didnt think to calculate champion points etc.

@@LemmyHQ thanks!
Mystic fishing holes use any bait btw
Good to know, UESP says it functions as a Saltwater fishing hole so I didn't think to try other bait on it. Thanks for the tip!
