Great video Jake! I have had Master Angler for awhile now, but still need to fish the new zones and this video makes me excited to get into fishing again! 🐟 🐠 🎣 🐡
There are so many fishing spots in this game, so you don't really need an addon to find those. You see where those spots are by looking at water surface, if there are something that looks like it is boiling on surface, then that is an indication for where an active fishing spot is. Votan's Fisherman is a great add on to tell you when to use Interact button to rail in fish (sound and a large symbol on screen combined with a setting that make it possible to interact with menu or other things while waiting for fish as it will turn back cursor into fishing mode, if have released cursor to move it freely around screen). Rare Fish Tracker is also great as one change it to only show icon for both type of fish and water type (which can also be matched with icon map for fishing spots - wave for sea (salt) water vs a snake like symbol for river is easier to remember and take less space on screen then name for it). UI will be hidden during combat mode, so it is a nice add on to always have up on screen to show type of water and fish in zone. Don't forget to untick other add on (in main map where you have different filters for map pins as there are several add on that might pins for fish on map and compass) and that can be too much with almost entire coast line full of small icon for fishing spots or even make it hard to see other pins as two or three add on might put layer on layer of different icon for same thing (fish). Votan's Fish Fillet is today a unnecessary add on as both Vota's Fishermen and most other add on that isn't necessary related to fish, but focus more on handling loot have feature that can do the same thing (auto fillet fish when fish are going into inventory and instead put it into craftbag or material).
I still love fishing to this day. I’ve yet to complete my master angler achievement. One day … At 100k+ on PC NA perfect roe will make you a millionaire fast. I see about 1 roe per 200 stack of fish. If I am going to buy fish stacks, I keep that stat in mind. However, I would rather just buy a roe for 100k than 200 fish and hope for multiple roe. My RNG game is weak. 😞

I rarely do fishing anymore on ESO. I usually stick to writs and trading gold mats with any group leader as a bit of a trade I would have going sometime. ALMOST at the million coin mark and I’m waiting to get a little more so I can get the Alinor Town Cresthouse.
Clamps gall, now with high Isle those giant claims spawn so quickly its scary. I've gotten more clamps gall in the last month than I did in a year on the islands south..
Do you recommend selling stacks of uncut fish or cutting and pulling perfect roe? Just wondering if its worth the RNG risk vs guaranteed value, let someone else buy the lotto tickets?

I use the armoury. It’s awesome. Saves CP, skill point allocations and mundus now. I have one spot on my main decked out purely for farming/writs/deconstructing/refining
Character menu - under champion points - you have to have a cp leveled toon before it opens up. Potion water can be farmed near lakes and rivers or bought at guild traders. And worms :)
I'm also thinking of doing more fishing in the summerset zones I've been thinking of that for a while now cause of that and the motif you can only get by fishing
I just checked Perfect Roe prices on PCNA last night, and each one was going for 100k 😳😳 I was shocked when I saw the incredibly low prices you were seeing, but I guess it’s different on console… 😅
I am not interested in gold in fishing, but I want the dyes in the advisements. I do not like fishing in RL not in-game. I always feel bad if I am not getting XP for doing something.
@@CAiNiACBack when I used to play they werent signed as "lake" or "river" bait and you needed some good knowledge or addons to know which is which so sayin "lake bait is for lakes" havent helped much at this point 🤷

9 minutes in & you’ve still not explained exactly HOW to 🎣 I know it says on screen but I’m following the instructions! Every time I go to reel in the line snaps & im using the correct bait. This one disapproves.
you have to wait till the fish starts pulling the line consistently. They will tug here and there but you have to wait for the long tug and than reel in. it's fairly simple.
I got around 30 perfect roe, I don't know if I should sell them or go for the mythic aetherial ambrosia pods I have 2 atherial dusts, any suggestions ?
I’d start to slow sell them like have a couple listed of the roe, you can certainly go for some mythical xp pots too but you’ll still have wayyyyy more fish then youll be able to use
So where is this gold coming from again? Just selling the perfect roe or making the potions and selling them? All the other stuff is just trash really? Confused about how I make gold from this, which isn't good after watching a video titled Fishing Guide | The Best Gold Maker. So apparently I missed something or it wasn't in the video.

Everything on the internet says zombies drop them, but I farmed zombies for 2 hours and literally got 1 worm. Everything also says, oh, there affordable on guild traders. NOPE! You can't even FIND them on most guild traders and the ones you do are outrageously priced at like 250 gold a worm. smh I found a drauger drop them slightly more often but still not even close enough to be worth spending a week straight, 8 hours a day, farming them to get enough to fish for 1-2 hours total. That is just ridiculous.
Well, as a brand new potential fisherperson this video was kind of frustrating, sorry to say Jake. You didn't start with any basics and then wandered around several high level concerns, such as selling perfect roe, without explaining much about them.

You forgot the most important part about fishing the whole bait thing and the fact that you need different type of them for each fishing spot type:/
