- Quick to the point video on how to setup / program Tesla HomeLink garage opener system. Tesla HomeLink is an Add-On device for your Tesla Model S/3/X/Y. Tesla HomeLink will add an ICON on your Center Console to control (open/close/or auto open/close) your garage door and gate.

Thanks!
Could not have completed this task successfully without this video! TY.
Can't believe Tesla charges $350 for this. When you buy a Lexus, they could send a technician to your home and set up the HomeLink garage door remote control for free.
Yeah but when you buy a Lexus you pay through the nose for extras. Nearly everything is included with a Tesla. Ok, not Homelink. But everything else.
Hey man, I think you just helped me solve my programing issue on my 24 Mx , it came with Hone link and Q…thank you I will let you know! RollingRob out in Missouri city 👍
very helpful, thank you for creating and sharing
Thank you !!! just got a 2018 model 3 and I couldn't figure it out.
Standard mode is if you you have the remote to teach homelink. D-Mode is if you do not have the remote, and it will try till it figures it out with the garage door opener.
My 2018 came with it , well maybe the previous owner payed for it
For $350 I’ll just stick to the garage door opener that’s barely bigger than my thumb on my visor 😂
Great video thanks
It's free with MS and MX.
Issue is the auto open does not work as I drive up to the driveway, even at 50+ feet, but if I drive past my home it opens, but, there always is one, as I turn around and drive back, it now auto closes. Told Tesla needs more work on the software. Also turned off the folding mirrors, as I back into the garage and the geo fencing actually caused my mirrors to fold as I start to back into the garage. I have found on rain days the rear camera is not useful and living in the Seattle area that’s 2/3’s of the year and side cameras are not designed for low light levels.
Hmm I wonder if the your issue have anything to do with garage to driveway layout
@@DIYGEEKTEXAS hi, I have a 3 car garage, with 2 doors, from the street it’s about 35 feet or less to the garage door and another 9 feet to the opener. I even changed the distance for opening to 60+ same result. I actually drive up on to the sidewalk to turn out before I back into the garage. Tesla service could not help, besides did I setup the auto open property, they suggested a newer opener, I told them it was replace 2 years ago, with a lift master. Thanks
I guess you replaced your broken garage door remote with homelink just in time 😂😂😂
How many garages can it support?

You have to pay additional for that OMG
Yea, ford charges $500 for the same thing.
I’m a little disappointed that my 2024 model 3 performance doesn’t have this feature $60k and I need to pay another $350???
I tried to install the MyQ but can't find the HomeLink icon on my tesla screen. Do I need to install Tesla Homelink before the icon appears? if yes, then what is the essence of the myQ?
i never paid for this with my 2019 model 3...
They are having lots of trouble with 2024 Tesla models not connecting-beware before you pay 350 dollars on Tesla website which is not a Tesla product!!! I had an utter nightmare on my new 2024 which was one of the first ones delivered here in CA - and had to revert to my old garage door remote, and my garage door opener is only 3 years old - something about rolling codes and new cars that does not work and nowhere to mount them. Tesla has really dropped the ball on the 2024 rollout, found out I have 2023 rear calipers rather than 2024's as they are very different in shape. Seems like they are using up old parts inventory on new cars wherever they can. If I had to do over again I would wait 1 year before buying a new Tesla and let them deal with all the complaints - all, mechanics not being trained properly and let them get all the bugs out before buying one.
The fk.. gotta pay for something that SHOULD be included?😮
Tesla doesn’t charge for this feature, I’m sure they charge to set it up.
