We love our pickup trucks here in New Zealand, last year 3 of our top 5 best-selling vehicles were pickup trucks. The Ford Ranger just recently celebrated its 10th consecutive year as New Zealand's best-selling vehicle.
Wow! The pickup truck in your video is a reasonable size. I’m in North America and about 20% of vehicles in my area are huge pick up trucks and 90% of those are obnoxiously loud. Their popularity has grown in the last 10 years and I can hear them throughout my neighbourhood. It’s become a whole culture thing out here. There was a time when I wanted one to pull a side-by-side ATV, but sold the side-by-side and bought a couple of eMountain bikes and carry them with a Subaru CrossTrek. If I did buy one, it would be a smaller (quiet) version like a Colorado to carry my bikes.
@@JoeTalksCars Actually, I believe many are sold that way. I know some dealers offer a mod package before they leave the lot (this is in the last 10 years). Unlike the mod you made to the Cayman, they are loud all the time 😒. In fact, I've seen commercials (I know, sometimes I watch cable) for the local dealer with a truck doing donuts with the caption... "Waking up the neighbourhood!" Btw, bit of a tell with spelling of neighbourhood for where I am from in North America. LOL! Anyway, don't dislike pickup trucks, just think people forget courtesy when they get behind the wheel of one. I've had one and rented one recently... tend to forget how close you get to cars.
Do you know the mad thing! We found the space, I squeezed into it and the second I did, the red car pulled out and moved away 🤣 running out of time meant I went for it anyway 🤣 embarrassing
Here in Ireland, pick-ups more popular, due to tax regulations. However, your Range Rover, X5, X7, etc are wider than most pick-ups. There is NO issue with pick-ups in Europe.
Biggest exaggerations of things. There’s no way even a small car could of been parallel parked there. And u could’ve easily gotten out ur car in that car park
I believe the Isuzu was based-off a smaller Chevrolet/GMC; imagine if you had a half-ton or three-quarter ton "Full Size" pickup like a Silverado/Sierra or an F150.... we do love our pickups here in America!
Speaking as a Texan with a Ford F150 superduty truck (and someone that's owned small sports cars), I don't get this. First you can see ( 4:59 ) your truck is the same width as the two cars to your left and right. In fact the car above you (black SUV?) is slightly wider. You can see you can get out if you wanted to, but I guess this is just for dramatization and to make a point more than to show reality. After all, your Isuzu isn't as large as a full sized pickup. Having been to England a few times (to be fair the last time was in the 80s though, back when it was at peak awesome), I do see how many roads / parking haven't been modernized for larger vehicles, but why not? Doesn't England have delivery trucks (Amazon, Fedex, UPS box trucks, etc)? Tow trucks? Semi tractor trailer trucks to deliver goods? Of course. So it seems the country should be able to accommodate them with no issues since they're a part of everyday life not just on the motorways but also around smaller towns. On certain streets for instance we don't allow parking during business hours in case large delivery vehicles need to get in and out. In America trucks can be a slight pain to navigate in certain situations (getting over on the freeways when little cars are all around you) but to make this easier I installed rear cameras on mine with a video screen that replaces my rearview mirror. The only other negative is, you're now the friend with the truck, so people will try to use you to move stuff.
Funny video but you are a magician if you could park your Porsche in that place.....and how do you load your groceries when you are parking with the "trunk' backwards???
@@SuperWolffie 🤣🤣 yeah it was kind of a silly video. Couldn’t think what to do with the truck, had it for a week. Loved it but wanted to make an alternative video to what’s out there.
Commercial tax £330, Commercial insurance not as competitive so more expensive, not as economical with our tax hiked fuel duty, new prices ridiculous. Just at a guess. Pickup verses Porsche towing a big trailer, bye bye porsche! I've just bought my 1st pickup, a 3 year old Musso...love it.
In Australia That's NOT a Truck ,it's a dual cab Ute,the same thing Isuzu is an MUX basically the same but the rear canopy is intergral basically an SUV,both very good towing vehicles for general use and caravanning.

Cracking video Joe! Production wise, getting better every time. Content wise, very candid. I really enjoyed it!
Thank you! Dropping hours at work clearly paying off
I loved the village parking stunt. The overhead camera was a nice production touch.
Thank you! Loved making this video.
I absolutely love them. But just to expensive to buy even the used ones are overpriced.
Yeah they do hold serious money.

Never knew there was a modifying culture around them as well. Interesting. Over here they are nearly always battered and used 🤣

It was tight but you could've gotten out if you parked a bit further toward the red car!

I daily a Toyota Hikux, you live with it. My other is a Boxster.
Love the Hilux! What a car!
I’ve a Isuzu V Cross as my daily and Boxster too.
Really?? Amazing, always find it cool when subscribers have matching garages

Wow! Thats mad! Yeah to be fair I found a F150 and parked next to it, the Dmax would have nearly been able to be put on the F150 bed 🤣

Haha yeah I get your points. It was kind of a joke video. Really good fun making it. Love you last comment! Bet that happens all the time!
Too big to park at the supermarket, and too big for country roads (lots of single tracks) would be thoughts.
Yep exactly it.
Because our baseline Obesity isn’t as high as theirs was 😂
🤣 I mean I did go to McDonald’s as I couldn’t park 🤣

This American has Porsche Cayman S and a Toyota Tacoma Off-road 4x4. 😀
The problem with owning European cars in America is that you have to trust Americans to service them properly
@@PointNemo9 - I’ve never had a problem owning at different times a VW, Mercedes, MINI, Audi, or Porsche.
Nice!
@@PointNemo9 - Derp. There are more Porsche dealerships (with servicing shops) and Porsche specialists in America than there are in Germany.

That's technically a truck, but just a toy compared to most of what's on the raid over here.

Because you are restricted to commercial speed limits as a starter.
I’m not sure but I think having back seats means it’s not restricted
I take my L200 and a Ifor Williams trailer through Mcdonalds drive thru regulary
