Can't wait to see your willow, I got my pattern in the post this morning! I have taken my own robe to spas for a while now, I used the muna and broad robe. I do think spas should provide them for everybody though as surely the price of robes is factored in to the admission costs. Nobody should feel left out x

The Muna and Broad Robe looks like a great shout actually! Am so chuffed with my Willow. My next Friday Sews will go in to more detail on it 😊

Beautiful balloon sleeved blouse. I’ve made 3, very addictive 😊. I think the Mabel in short sleeves would look great, as fabric strikes me as very Summery. Love the Peony, made one for my mother of bride dress, so classic but also casual with pumps 😊❤

The Peony is such a perfect MOB dress! I decided to go for the shirt sleeves as I was just short of fabric for the long ones. The pattern pieces are HUGE 😂

Love, love the cotton lawn for your Mable ❤. Also love your balloon sleeve top. I worked with a chiffon like fine viscose once and made a wrap dress- OMG never again. Came out okay in the end but strangely I never wore it. Love all your new fabrics but the blue Minerva viscose linen is stunning. I won’t use Minerva (long story) but I am missing out on some gorgeous fabrics. Good Luck with your makes - looking forward to seeing the Willow dress in particular. 😊 Lynne

Love your top. Those two dress fabrics are gorgeous can’t wait to see them made up. The peony dress really suits you. You did a fantastic job on the bodice fitting sorry the fabric was a pain. 🙏❤️💜💙

Thanks Sarah! I was quite worried about fitting the Peony but it wasn't actually too bad in the end 😊

Great plans - I have e same viscose linen from Minerva in the pink colourway and I made the Papercut Tide dress - your Lulee will be gorgeous and what I meant to say at the start of this was I love viscose linen, it’s my absolute fave!! 😂

Hey Sarah! Great plans and gorgeous fabrics! When I am indecisive about sleeves, I make a toile of each. I’m sure either would look beautiful.

Great plans, lovely fabrics. I’d go long sleeve, lawn is lightweight and think long sleeves looks elegant on a curvy figure, kind of balances curves. ( what do I know ??) love your cupid blouse. X

Love that cotton lawn fabric, they are all my colours but I mustn’t buy anymore. Looking forward to seeing all your makes with the beautiful fabrics. Might see you at the Stitch festival x

I know what you mean about sewing with a crinkly viscose fabric. I used some for the Tamarama Set by Swim Style patterns. Attaching the collar to the shirt was a real challenge as the fabric had stretched. Also, I found the fabric to be a bit rough when wearing it. The pattern is fantastic though, just not my fabric choice.

Oh wow I can imagine doing a collar would be so difficult! Well done you!

Have you considered making the Mable with long sleeves and shorten them if needed?

Why are you worried about it being "out there"? Nothing is wrong with that, Liza the baker that sews wears colorful "out there" clothes to school, what's the problem?

    • @superbaillessews
      @superbaillessews  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

Hi Cindy - I think that Liza works in a primary school so they are probably more encouraging of bright clothing. I work it a Senior school and there is a strict dress code. I do wear bright colours and prints to work but also am always mindful of the dress code.

Also I never said that there was a problem with wearing bright clothes to work 😊 it depends on where you work and your personal preference!

Hello - I don’t suppose you know where I can get 1/2 meter of the cherub fabric (that you’re wearing ) from please? I’m making a top and have cut a huge hole in the back 🤦‍♀️🥲

Hi lovely - I have no idea where still has it. I think I only have scraps left but let me double check when I get home. How big a piece do you need?
