Been playtesting a lot of ancient greymon and want to make the argument that it’s tier 2. Agreed that deletion is worse than bounce, BUT you get to choose your target unlike garuru which keeps your opponent from protecting by just dropping a rookie. Where are you guys getting the data for english results? you say that yellow vaccine magna performed significantly better than blue magna, but counting up the results at Egmanevents shows that they had very similar results
AncientGrey in Tier 3 is such a “what are you guys smoking” take. The deck literally slaps the number one deck you guys placed in Tier 2 by virtue of getting bigger than Magna X and just getting rid of it by battle. I’ve also seen results for it posted way more than Mirage, Tyrant and who even is playing Blue based armors?
It kills MagnaX, who has Armor Purge, so you don’t get your 2-3 checks off piercing, you lose your stack because of your own effect and then they evolve back into Magna X. Unplayable matchup
what would you recommend for someone that started back when lordknightmon was the meta deck? is the terriermon/lopmon starter deck a good way of easing back into the game?
So you don't have to play clock support for diaboromon. Does that improve his chances at all? Ive been having a ton of fun with the deck so far and it seems really good to me eben with the clock
Hey hoang What do you think its a good replacement for the purple scrabble in dexdoru? Ive seen people using purple memory, but idk I replaced it with 2 helllooga just for the draw power and removal, but wanted to check your opinion
Is that GabuBond actually the Gabu Rush strategy that’s been enabled by ancientgaruru? Cause even if it plays one of each BoF (once it gets the ace) it’s really an AnGa deck albeit not an hybrid one. It’s really fun, and it feels strong, but yeah idk how well it fares against all the Digimon emperor and now the random revival of kokuwamon floodgate lmao. I think it’s my preferred way of playing AnGa tho, even if it’s strictly weaker.
The BT17 Gallantmon support is really good. Not enough to compete in majors, mostly due to a poor AncientGaruru matchup, but it is really good. The new gallant can get to pop 12k bodies, something the deck did not do until now, Gallant's protection completely ignores blast digivolution, and its DP+ makes some decks in T2 have a really hard time playing into. One wave of support wont save it, but I think the deck is getting somewhere...
I suppose it is validating to know that my belief that I should be doing better with SoC than I am is in fact down to a skill issue. I see all these pieces and think “there’s no way that this doesn’t deal well with most decks” then I make one bad choice or brick a little and get stomped.
I think Mirage in tier 3 is a hot take. A deck that can totally deal with Magna, Nume, and Imperial or at least have 50/50s with it being that low? I get maybe it falls off a little, but if it matches up well with everything in tier 1, how is it not at minimum tier 2? Haven't finished the video yet lol, but I couldn't help but comment on that one lol
I haven't played against enough matchups with bt17 diaboromon, but honestly I think it still does really well in to some of the top decks except maybe ancient? You dont play the clock or the new diaboro at all, its cool and all, but the option is just too slow and the new diaboro is a 2 piece card, if you dont have the other its basically a vanilla with redirect(maybe). Omni is like a game of chicken and you hard dig for bt5 armageddon. Imperial is a lot more manageable thanks to the new keramon warp into new infermon to dedigi and stop an attack or if you have a token on board then warp into ex06 infermon, pop token and evo into ace to spawn token, dedigi off infermon inherit and pop with ace.
Yo, I am trying out the BT17 Diaboro stuff, but am using the BT17 Diaboro myself. From my PoV the card does better into the meta than EX6 does, as it does better into Imperial and its protection is favorable into AncientGaruru. The protection also helps deal better with many decks on the lower tiers. Although I understand worries about consistency, the BT17 Diaboro is just much more powerful, and I have been doing well with it as well. Just praying not to find Rapid X or Valkyrimon ACE, which Numemon runs...
@afonsoviveiros2605 Saying Bt17 is more powerful than the Ex06 diaboromon is an insane statement tbh. Ex06 is a constant token spawn with a really powerful all turns effect that also makes your opponent think twice on playing a digimon on board. The protection doesn't matter in most cases especially when half the time you don't mind the stack being deleted thanks to the token spawn inheritables. Blue will be a problem no matter what because of source strip and bounce which is the only case the option is even worth considering and ancient bounces lowest level so if you have a rookie its never touching your diaboromon, but the deck does not need it tbh, catastrope Canon is a much better card. As for Valk ace, that card is heavily relied on etemon or just having a lvl 5. If they decide to raw evo on their turn then that's an easy overflow -4 for you. Rapidx is definitely more annoying to get around, but the deck has good counter play against the card too as long as it's not the initial digivolve turn and you're patient enough.
@@MagnaTimon I see the points you are making but reconsider some things here. EX6 Diaboromon, for the extra token spawning, requires to be kept up during a bunch of turns, which is not easy with a card with no protection. Sure, blue can be annoying, but the biggest blue decks to be facing during this meta, Mirage and AncientGaruru, dont really have much source strip to punish BT17 Diaboromon that much. AncientGaruru may try to bounce a token but that does not bounce a security and if they try bouncing the diaboromon, it protects and no cards are added. Plus, there are other decks that try to throw Diaboro into security or under other cards, perhaps not as relevant, but still something this Diaboro can do. That is not the only utility, though. When comparing the redirect vs the blocker, I think this once per turn redirect offers a bit more power as it has an easier time defending vs green deck, in general, mainly imperial. Sure, you could have other ways of outing it, but this is just much more consistent at that. Imperial is uncapable of playing through a BT17 Diaboro without having to commit an ACE or losing a lot of its offense. Just in regards to Valk, yeah, relies on Etemon, but its Numemon, they will always see Etemon and apply it on the big Diaboromon stack, no matter the build. Hopefully this passes my points across?
@afonsoviveiros2605 Like I mentioned, most of the time the protection doesn't matter since you can benefit from the token inheritables. I mentioned source strip because it's still a possibility that blue has source strip which one of the meta decks you mentioned(mirage) runs 3 zudomon aces on average and as for ancient they only need to add a card to hand in general which their inheritables do that for them so they will bounce a security anyways even if they don't bounce the diaboro. I know the redirect has more value in this matchup, but it's one particular matchup where other matchups the blocker from ex06 diaboro just does the job better. For nume they may always have the etemon, but again my point is you just play around that with having the ace on board.
