So nice to see old vehicles taken care of. By taking care of the little things, it is much more likely a vehicle is repaired when a big thing happens instead of being sent to the scrap yard. Keep the Land Rover videos coming!
Yes , Yes !!👍More videos like this , working on the old classic Land Rover Defender , and trips out on the trail in the Defender , and of course working on , and trips off road and exploring in the Jeep...FANTASTIC !!! content .... Two of the most Iconic off roaders ever built . Two thumbs up👍👍 Cheers Wild Bill Jeep overland exploring the Boreal forest , Arctic Watershed and Taiga of northern Ontario and Northern Quebec , and the James Bay shore. Never stop exploring!!!
Nice little video showing how you solved the various little issues that came up. Thanks for the mention of 3m trim tape. I already can foresee several places I'll use it on my Jeep wj.
I used to be a whole lot more DYI but right now I do not have the necessary garage space for my vehicle or my tools. Glad to see you folks have the space to do stuff like this!
Really enjoyed this episode! Being non mechanical, I am always VERY hesitant to take apart and “dig in”, so I admire and appreciate your “bravery “!! I would have a door in pieces on the floor with various screws, fasteners etc and be thinking of selling “As Is”!!! LOL!
How long before you address the front end issue & replace the tires? … seems to be a pretty high priority … looking forward on how you “upgrade” the remainder of the interior …
I told you Rovers North was the place to to go. I also see you need a new driver seat. I too need a new one. If I get one before you I will post my experience. Going over to defender source for some info.
Although I understand how these can be problematic, if one adapts the “reuse” concept, they are very much a solution. Among other things, I reuse mine to line my household waste receptacles. They are far more degradable than the trash bags sold solely for this purpose. And I have not purchased any trash bags in well over 10 years.
trust you are already aware, but Mike has a great YT channel if you wish to learn more about Defenders from anything small to big jobs. @BritannicaRestorations
Amazing how many small projects pile up into a large pile. Even the small repairs feels good and victorious. Thanks for sharing.
Very true
I like when you do these repairs and little upgrades on your rigs every now and then. Thanks Chris!

Great video! A Defender 110 is a dream of mine!
Tinkering is a different kind of adventure. Thanks for showing what it takes to keep things going.
It really is!
Awesome job. Not only is it a self fulfilling but you also saved some cash doing it yourself.
I have to do similar repairs on my 91 YJ. I’ve been putting it off but watching this makes me want to tackle it. Thanks Chris!
I encourage you to give it a go!
It is always so rewarding when we bring old, obsolete, vehicles to like new condition.... Great job, Chris....
Yes indeed!
That was super enjoyable. Nice work improvising repairs on that old door, turned out great.
Thank you so much!
Your knuckles aren't bleeding I would have to agree that was a relaxing restoration job lol
That’s a pretty solid litmus test!
British engineering fixed with American ingenuity
Repairs are part of the adventure! Thanks for the video.
You got that right!
Always exciting to see an oldie being kept on the road, well done Chris👍🏻
What a difference when you sit the door how much more solid it is now. Finding sheet metal screw from previous owners grrrr. lol
I love that thing!!! I just inherited a very clean 1971 CJ5, it's so cool, can't wait to start doing some upgrades and get it on the trail!
Far out, enjoy!
So glad you still have this truck, can’t wait to see back on trail 😊. Also congrats on house, very happy for you both
Thanks so much!!

Still weird to us to have this anchor in life. Good weird!
Thank you, Chris 😎👍
Now that you're home base is in AZ, we're going to have to meet up for an ICE COLD beer one day.
This was a fun video Chris. That door is good for another 30 plus years. A good upholstery shop can do wonders for those seats. No need to buy new.
nice segment. i really like this truck.
Nicely done!

Good job, it’s like working on my old 40 series Cruiser, just good enough.
Impressive! Way to go Chris!
You're so kicked back, Chris. Your vids are like Zen.
Tinkering is so therapeutic
Great video! The simplicity of a Land Rover is amazing. Love how most jobs can be done with simple tools and a bit of ingenuity.
I would like to see more of this kind work. good luck with the truck.
This has been enjoyable to watch but an obsessive part of me wants to spray the door interior with rust stop.
Hey Chris, Some white lithium grease goes a long way on the window channels/tracks, door locks/latches, and hinges
That was satisfying just watching! Nice job.
Ayyyyyyyy, cruisy is back? Uh pickupy? Listens to windy? Wheely?
… I think you need to name it!
Haha we’ll take all those suggestions under advisement ;-)
Yes! Gotta have a name!! Maybe ask your followers for suggestions!!! Top of my head …”Rattles” has a nice sound!! LOL!

Good job
Great video. And always love content with the defender!
Great video
thread rivet kit is good for replacing any plastic seater
Nice job Chris. Though it looks like a trip back east will be in your future to pick up stuff from your storage space.
CHEERS from Colorado
thanks for the vid!
Love the rover.

Man they are so helpful and an incredible resource.
Toyota offers online OEM parts diagrams like that. They make life a whole lot simpler.
👍
Told you it would cost you more than a brand new Range Rover to fix your rig well!
Hopefully since it’s not mission critical I can kick the van down the road here and there 😉
7:27 interesting America still allows plastic shopping bags at hardware stores...Kenya banned them a couple years ago.

Chris are you part of any Land Rover Defender groups? Lots of time and money can be saved by using those forums and associated youtube.
I do need to get involved. It’s on the list!
You need some alghinment on the door though
How about a REAL adventure!!
why, bother with rattles on a rusty pig.
I really only care about the jeep, really starting to get life style creep and moving further and further away from what made this channel interesting

I actually haven’t come across this channel so will seek it out. Thank you!
