  • This video is an COMPLETELY UNBIASED RV REVIEW of the 2020 ‪@WinnebagoRVs‬ Navion/View 24V on the ‪@mbusa‬ chassis. We spent tonnes of time gathering research from many sources and then went to the Calgary RV Expo to show it to you. Lots to learn here and we figure it out as we go. Sometimes our research doesn't always match what we see. When things are amiss we have to do some investigating to give you the best information we can and we hope you will share your thoughts and factual information as well.
    The Winnebago Navion/View 24V is a wonderful size and can go anywhere. We liked it's great dry bath, comfortable couch and were super interested in the new acrylic windows. We thought there was room for improvement with the opening for the electrical cord and the exposed black tank and we were also intrigued by the pump system that moved grey waste over to the sewer hookup area.
    We thought the Navion/View would be great for RV Sometimers, full-timers or weekender/vacationers but did not think it was the best choice for snowbirds just because of it's size being kind of small for a long term stay in 1 location. It was also a great rig for a couple or solo traveller. It would even accommodate a couple of guests or grand kids for short periods but we don't think it is the best family rig.
    We filmed this review at the Guarantee RV section of the Calgary RV Expo in Feb 2020. If you would like to take a look at their stock too you can check them out at www.guaranteerv.com/

    As a new Subbie....Looks like I'm first to say thanks for a really good demo. This is the second time I've seen your channel....impressed X2. I'm a 87 year old wannabe We have had a great RV life but our travel days are over now.....except for U Tube presentations. Since anything is possible....I'll bet we could live very comfortably in a rig like this. Meanwhile I'll be following you....also looking up your other videos. You two balance each other in a well thought out presentation....thanks again. Recliner Babe.

      Welcome, Welcome, We are very happy to have you. Once an RVer always an RVer, in some way, shape or form right? Long before we had an RV I followed them closely and loved every bit of them and I suspect I will be like you and love them even after I'm not out in one anymore. I'm so glad we can take you along with us on tours and our adventures. Thanks so much for joining us, commenting and watching.

    I’m so glad I found your channel as your videos are fun and informative. We are in California and love small travel trailers. We redid a 68 Serro Scotty Highlander about 6 years ago and loved it but the bathroom was too small (plus no shower) so we sold it. Really liked your walk through on the Airstream Nest. We are seriously considering an In Tech Sol Horizon for our next purchase. Look forward to more of your videos especially on the small travel trailers!

    Thank you SSOOOO much for talking about the windows. We just bought a 2021 Navion 24J and we recently came across the fact that when you order dual pane windows, you don't have MCD blinds but the pull up shades. I can not find any info anywhere even on Winnebago's website. I was SO excited when you showed it. I actually do prefer the pull up shades. Thank you!

      @@DoesSizeMatter I live in Georgia so we'll boondock in GA for this year and maybe go to NC and Florida. Eventually we want to go to Alaska. But definitely Utah, Wyoming and Montana. And California of course since 2 of my daughters live there. :)

    I'm researching models and lifestyle and this model is really close to what I'd want in a motor home. I like the V especially for the Twins. I'd be traveling alone so I'd use one side for sleeping and the other one as a sofa with lots of pillows.
    I love how brutally detailed you are. It provokes questions.
    Great job.

      So glad you liked the review. These are a nice size rig for many reasons. We like your idea of making the other bed a sofa. What kind of RV lifestyle do you think you want?

      @@DoesSizeMatter l looking to use it more for my personal hotel room when I visit friends and family. Also for shorter vacation for me in State parks to enjoy nature and to write, photography and art. Plus, to take care of some personal business and not use a motel. Lol. I enjoy my own company.😁 But I don't mind others. I don't want to live it full time. I like self-sufficientcy.
      I must be able to handle it myself.

    Thanks for the detailed review. Does the toilet seating position feel cramped?

    • @DoesSizeMatter
      @DoesSizeMatter  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      These class B+ do have smaller more cramped bathrooms. That being said we felt there was enough space on the toilet for us so it depends on your size??? I guess it could matter in this situation but we thought it was fine. Hope that helps, thanks for watching.

    We have this chassis and floorplan. The grey tank pump switch is just above the grey tank release handle in the white compartment in between the outdoor shower and the water fill. It is a terrible design in that someone must be holding down the switch while the grey tank is being pumped out - and that's also horrible on the knees. We replaced that pump with a grey tank gravity dump near the grey tank release handle which necessitated a second grey water hose and a Valterra Hydro-Flush attachment to clean the black tank hose. Poor engineering, Winnebago! We love the bed but that's because we keep it made up as a 87"x74" Super King Bed! We had to rearrange some venting and the two drawers and do a custom platform and mattress to do that (~US$5,000) but it's permanently fantastic, now. The rear bed ladder was replaced with a moveable 16"x16" ottoman that doubles for storage, too! The table is way too heavy and we replaced that with a very lightweight version and had the two table leg holders in the floor removed. We wouldn't buy the unit again because of the Sprinter which is too expensive to properly service at just under US$1,000. There is also the issue of the Mercedes Turbo not being able to run long term on biodiesel fuel over B5. We agree the toilet seating is fine. Overall, you did a fine review.

    Pretty cool rig, we really like this size. How is the price compared to TLV wonder? If you know.

    • @DoesSizeMatter
      @DoesSizeMatter  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The last LTV we did was $173,000 and this one was $185,000, but remember that is including exchange because LTV is made in Canada so no exchange and the Winnebago has an extra 30ish % for that horrible exchange rate we have. Thanks for watching.

      Thanks for the very thorough review, as usual. Great Rig except I managed to find the cargo capacity and by the time you fill it with fuel, oil, propane, 2 adults, 2 childern and fresh water you have 201 lbs for food, clothes, toiletries, camping gear, bicycles. What is all the wonderful inside and outside storage for?

    Yikes! Please ask the Winnebago rep about the rig you are reviewing. The 30 AMP electrical cord has a TIGHT seal when you close it. Its extremely easy to use. And, the grey tank pump is right there in the wet bay, also both tanks have heating user can turn on inside. I cant watch this anymore.... . Please do research or ASK. terrible

    • @DoesSizeMatter
      @DoesSizeMatter  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So sorry you were unhappy with our honest unbiased review. We do always welcome positive helpful comments from owners that can add to the information our viewers are learning from. What you don't know is that we did have a full conversation with the reps prior to filming and as we mentioned they advised us that these tanks were heated by ducting. So either they didn't know what they were talking about, which in itself would be a problem, or the problem of blowing warm air outside is a real problem. Even if the heating was through heating pads on the tanks, without having someway to keep the heat around the tank it would just disperse to the air too. We would be thrilled to hear that there was a tight seal for the cord because there wasn't on this unit and it was a problem. We did identify the grey tank pump in the wet bay and where it pumped to in order to be drained you may just need to watch that part again. We don't claim to know everything about every RV we just do a lot of research and ask a lot of questions to help and encourage buyers to learn and ask questions themselves when buying. If you are a knowledgeable experienced owner and would like to share constructive helpful information on the Navion we welcome you to share more but please maintain a respectful attitude when doing so.
