We just bought this unit. We love it. At 55 mph it gets 17 mpg. At 70 it gets 13+. It's very functional even without opening the slide. edit, Ours has the diesel generator and fiberglass roof and a porcelain toilet.

I know it’s been 7 years but how was your experience with a Mercedes Winnebago? My fiancé and I are about to get this model in a few months.
@@LowenKoniig we just took it to Universal Studios a couple days ago and it is as new today as it was when we got it brand new. The only issue we had was resolving the warranty issues in the beginning. You only have one year but you don’t want it sitting at the shop waiting for months and months to get attended to. so we went ahead and used it right away ignoring some of the tiny things that needed to be addressed and waited until about two months before the warranty expired to get those things resolved so that we weren’t wasting the time we had planned to travel. They had it for about six months. We also found that if you want warranty work done you’re better off getting it done by an individual who can come to your house or to where your RV is parked instead of using the dealership. Because those guys will come and do the work and leave your RV with you and they’ll do a lot better work. The RV dealership will keep your new RV on their lot for the purpose of showing it to other people so they don’t have to make payments on one that they’re showing perspective buyers. This happened to us. We could tell they were using it for that purpose based on the traffic on the floor. Don’t trust the RV dealers but otherwise this RV is amazing.
My fiancé and I are about to get this model in a few months. Our first RV so hopefully it’s a good experience.

We own a 2014 view, we love it.
I called Winnebago about this 24V twin bed/King bed model and was told that there are 1,200 lb allowed for food, clothing, and occupants. They said the GVWR max with all fluids, cargo and occupants is 11,030. The wet weight (fuel, coolant, fresh water, LP gas) is 9,808. They said if you subtract the wet weight from the GVWR it leaves 1,200 for occupants, clothing, groceries and any other items that you choose to bring. Not bad! Thank you for showing us this Winnebago. Luv it!
Based on the sticker Winnebago put on the View @7:13 the weight of a full load of water is not included in the CCC of 1256 (or 1222 based on the weight they gave you). I'm not saying that they are wrong, but the info you were given over the phone is counter to everything we've seen so we'd suggest double checking what they told you.
I really like this layout. For a solo traveler, I would remove one of the twin bed mattresses and install fork mounts for bikes. But I agree the carrying capacity is a bit of a bummer. Especially if someone would want to tow anything.
I have 2015 View 24J floor plan and 24V was my second choice. Safe journeys Russos!

I have this in the 24G I Love the bedroom slide in the rear although the "V" was my second choice. I am at 8560 miles now and consistently get 14.5MPG and about 12.5MPG in town. I am looking forward to a long cruise from Georgia to Arizona in December. Great review and yes the TV is too high up with slide in but I am working on that problem .

I have towed a car only once , a Mini Cooper and the mileage was around 12.5 but that was on a 300 mile trip have not made a longer journey yet with car behind.

+GnatMan Allin How heavy is the trailer? The tow rating is 5k lbs and I drove a similar RV and that little diesel was pretty impressive. You're so very welcome and if there is anything else you want us to check out, let us know.
I'll do a little more research Joe,but even at 4500-4800Lbs,I'm afraid the Hills,and Mts where I really want to travel are going to be a challenge. I know I'll have to much weight onboard too.Maybe I'll just build another "Skoolie",and hit the Phish Concerts again.LOL,,I don't know,every time I think I have my next unit narrowed down,I come up with something else I want to do with it. I guess I'm going to have to design a very modular Base unit,that is suitable for a plethora of situations.Movable storage,overhead forward sleeping,sunroof,solar,composting toilet,or incinaret incinelet(?) +Blazin'Blades Thank you! We looked at something similar on the Ford Transit chassis and it wasn't nearly as nice as the MB chassis...and the price wasn't too much lower.
