Hello; I am here from Instagram. Excited about this video. When I traveled to Marseilles, France; I was taken out to a ( Vietnamese restaurant,) that served, frog legs ( tasted like chicken 😊) . I also had mussels, delicious ❤ All the best Shaun of NYC 🦉🦉
pick you up from max channel. you should be hitting 100k subscribers easily. content needs longer like this , consistency and variety is the key. there is definitely a market out there. I have never seen or heard of your channel until you did the max collaboration.
@ 8:24 Fred just called an audible , for those who don't know football that might not make sense 😁 You and Max are similar in how you totally immerse yourselves in Vietnamese cuisine!
I've had some excellent Chay dishes in Vietnam. Hu Tieu Chay & pho Chay in Ben Tre was excellent last time I was there! Looks like a great tour for folks that don't have a local connection to show them around.
10:41 "This is good. This is really good. this is really really really really really good" ...funny all our time in the kitchen, you never said that about my cooking.
Hi, do you happen to have the address of that vegetarian banh trang tron? I'm vegetarian and will be visiting VN this coming August. Thanks in advance!
Just finished this vid - the fish mint can't do it. I like most of the Vietnamese herbs but I've got the same reaction folks who can't eat cilantro have, nope, nope, nope.. My viet wife though, she loves it!
Food looks great...now I'm curious about that banh trang tron. I think banh khot that are not creamy is an abomination....there's already bigger banh xeo, so why call them banh khot. Just call them mini banh xeo so people don't get confused.
@@ChrissieSM There are some vendors whom make them small, yellow, and crispy...and call 'em banh khot, but they are basically mini banh xeo. The yellow color is just turmeric, which doesn't affect the flavor. My point is that there are mini banh xeo ou there that they call banh khot and they shouldn't as banh khot should have a creaminess to it which differentiates them from banh xeo.
The thing is, when Vietnamese starts to explain about their foods, omg they keep lecturing. Common, just keep it simple, it's just food, and they explain it like a technology
Thank you, you are a great vlogger Vietnamese cuisine is underrated there is an great essence of vegetable cooking and eating
Hi again

Hi Chad,
I’ve been watching your videos. They were awesome.
One request, could you put the restaurants’ address on your videos please?
How do you record your audio? It looks like you might have a lavalier mic clipped on the inside of your t shirt but I can't tell.
Yes I was using a single lavalier but just upgraded to the DJI mic system

The mini pancakes look nothing like banh xeo, as they look white and creamy. Banh xeo is fried, yellow and crispy.
