How To Fix Subwoofer Bass Rattle - Honda Accord

  • I got tired of the rear deck lid rattling every time I was jamming out to a song with decent bass, so I took some foam, cut it out and put it under the rear deck lid and voila it worked! No more rattle and I can turn my volume to max and it sounds amazing. I finally get to enjoy the premium audio I paid for. No but seriously, this really did work and I’m thoroughly impressed with the results. All you need is some foam, something to cut the foam with, and a little bit of time.

    To fix mine I just opened the trunk and shoved socks under the rear deck from behind. Works well.

    Cut a small spacer out of wood or plastic that is slightly bigger than the gap between your rear deck brake light and the rear window. Paint it or wrap it in a tape that is the same color as the rear deck. Put it in the gap so that it creates a downward pressure in the deck. It will stop most or all of the rattle. If you do it well, the spacer won't be noticable from the outside unless you are looking for it.

    It’s easier to just push some foam down there between the window and base.. you can’t see it and it takes 2 min..

    The biggest problem with Honda is automatic noise cancelation. Look up how to disconnect anc on 2013 - 2017 honda accords.

    In my case was the 4 plastic clips that fits on the trunk, I just put 4 pieces of rubber between the plastic lid and the metal. 15 minutes, no disassembly, free and fast.
    Have a nice day!.

    So what I did to get rid of the rattle is way easier I cut some peaces of some old gloves I rolled them up I stuck my upper body in the truck put those rolled up peaces of gloves in the holes that are next to the speakers and BOOM rattle was gone in just 5 minutes

    Did you use any sort of adhesive at all or just the gravity from the clips?

    • @markymark2820
      @markymark2820 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you use thick enough foam like he does in the video you won't need any adhesive bc it will fit snug in between the metal and the plastic. Basically there is nowhere for it to go
