The VSN Blues King is a rebranded Rowin LEF-302B, one of their TS types, and the Satone is a rebranded Caline Pure Sky, their Timmy type. You can find a lot of Rowin and Caline pedals with different names and different cosmetics, because they are the two biggest OEM pedal suppliers to other brands, so there are a lot of brands using the same pedals with different names on them and different case cosmetics. All the Movall mini pedals are rebranded Azor pedals, which is Caline's mini line. They even use the same numbers- AP308/MP308, AP315/MP315, AP316/MP316, etc.
The AC10 custom has the top boost channel of the AC15.. That is inherently bright and a little fuzzy (maybe even more so with a 10 inch speaker)... So not surprised that the Cinders did not make the cut.. It is a boss bd2. clone and has very little midrange and is very bright with tone knob at noon..
We would agree with you on the sonic characteristic of that amp and for sure some pedals will do better or worse within the various setups. We are evolving our setup and approach to comparisons to always try to deliver insights that will be helpful. Thanks for checking us out!
Since it is so affordable we have not found a clone that delivers a better SD1 sound. There are other takes on the idea that are pretty interesting, but nothing we would suggest as a clone to go with over the real thing.
This was so fun to be a part of! What a showdown!
This was a fun one for sure. Thanks for being part of it Steve!
It was a great time and you, Tom and Jay really helped sort out these pedals. So really great overdrive "Finds" here!

The Satone is probably a Caline Orange Burst, maybe a Big Orange. Definitely not a Pure Sky.

Of all of the dozens of $30 overdrives, why did the golden/silverhorse reach meme status? It's one of the best sounding of the bunch.
Jay's drawing skills are 🔥
Jay never ceases to surprise and amaze.
I like these shootouts!
Thanks. We have more coming!
Hahaha this is great. More please!
Thank you! We have a Chorus Pedal Shootout coming next month. 👀
Great tournament!!
The Chorus Shootout is coming soon.
You picked the Flamma? That thing sounded like it was stuck in quicksand!
Which would you select as we the winner in this batch of under $50 overdrive pedals?
@@NoFearGuitarGear Maybe a used EXH. Or that Caline Pure Sky, and others like it. I have Timmys and the Pure Sky sounds pretty dang good to my ears.
I have the Golden version of the Mosky. It’s great.
We will have to check that one out, thanks!
Same, but I thought only the colors were different.
@@wolfgangdevries127 the silver one has an extra voice switch
@@matthewtyler-jones8317 ok, thanks for the info! :)
Hey that was entertaining and a very fresh pedal revieuw format. My winner the enchante
Thanks for your kind words! The Caline Enchanted Tone Overdrive is really compelling and a heck of a deal for under $40.
@@NoFearGuitarGearI think I got mine for $22.
Great blind test ;)
Great video, the noise though was really distracting!
When it got down to the final three it had to be the Mosky.
Agreed. For sure there are other really compelling affordable overdrive pedals here.
BOSS DS1X the ultimate ultra tight Distortion would love to see a chug chug distortion war .
Love that idea, a "chug chug distortion war" would be a good one. We have added that to our planner!
@@NoFearGuitarGear Thats chugging awesome 🤘🤘
I was looking for a boss sd1 clone and im still confused lol

Joyo pedals?
Thanks @moussi22 for joining the dialog on these cheap overdrive pedals.
