The looks on Layne's and Ashley's faces when Goeff takes Isabella's song are priceless. I also love his girly shriek when he sees the rat. Possibly my favorite VP song.
I actually think that the rose peddles weren't animated, but they recorded that section in double speed to get the peddles flying right (with the aid of machines that blow things (leaves?) and some fans of some sort, I think). Ashely and Geoff had a hard time fixing the lip syncing at double speed, but did quite good in the end, right? You can see on Layne that it was a bit troublesome holding that bass line at double speed, though! :-)
They did an AMAZING job!!! Geoff's hair fling with the petals was a hoot! 😆 If you want to laugh your head off, go watch Honest Trailer's Encanto! Omigosh, you'll completely lose it!😂
Or What It Do Dave!!! Just because of that reaction video I had to create a playlist called “watch when you’re feeling grumpy”. Because you cannot help but laugh after watching his reaction. There’s just something about watching a big burly man giggle!
Every element of this was fantastic! I love their hilarious side and the BTS for this had me in stitches. We all know VoicePlay owns Disney covers but this has been the best yet. Layne truly outdid himself and the ending was brilliant. His percussion can be so underrated, but he really turns in on for Disney and I love it! You're going to want to buckle up for Geoff's next solo release.
Fun fact: Geoff's scream is actually a sample from the infamous Screaming Goat. Also, the set the playback for half again as fast as usual and lip synched to it so the video had the proper floating petals/flowing hair effects for Ashley and Geoff. Great reaction! I know what you mean about catching different things each time you see something-there’s a ton going on here. I managed on my forty-leventh viewing to notice that it wasn’t a real mouse. There I was feeling sorry for the poor thing!! LOL. The byplay between them is priceless-well worth looking at closely!!
It took me until my forty-leventh viewing to notice that when they go into that latin beat section when Ashley starts singing about her fish dying, that Geoff is down front doing this like shoulder cha-cha-esque dance move in his chair. You really do have to watch this over and over to catch everything.

This is definitely a three thumbs up! I find it amazing how much the lighting changes the mood of the background. Everyone had priceless moments in this. I finally figured out that Geoff is not actually playing Bruno. He is playing. Camillo, the shapeshifter, pretending to be Bruno. So then he turns into Isabella, and back.
The first time I watched this I was a little confused by Geoff’s wardrobe change. Then I realized he was Camilo the Shapeshifter and he was shifting into Bruno then Isabella and then back into Bruno. This is such a fun production. You can’t tell because he is seated, but Geoff is wearing pink shorts that match Ashley‘s since he’s playing a female lead there. In the behind the scenes, they did a little “who wore the best” Also the portion with the rose petals had to be filmed with everything going double speed so that when they slowed it down for the video the rose petals would be floating by rather than just blasting into their faces which is what really was happening🌸(To get the petals to move fast enough so they didn’t drop to the ground and also to get Ashley’s hair to flow like that they actually had to use not only a fan but a leaf blower!) But even with thise pink shorts, Cesar and Layne stole the show. Between Cesar’s facial expressions and reactions, and Layne not only beatboxing but rapping Dolores‘s lines and providing the bass line when Geoff was busy, they were a powerhouse. Every time I watch this, and I have watched it a lot, I see or hear something new. This time I actually paid attention to when Cesar was saying that the man of his/her dreams would be betrothed to another that he had kind of a dirty look on his face as he looks over at Ashley who is playing Isabella. There’s something new every time.
