Eli is soooooooooo underrated. Not only is he incredibly talented but super kind and incredibly intelligent. Overall an awesome human!
Geoff wasn't the only one smiling at his final riff.... Layne arranged this one, and he couldn't suppress a little smirk as Jeff hits it.

I was curious who arranged this masterpiece. What was that insane high note Geoff hit? 😳
@@kelleyoneal2578 They always credit the arranger plus everyone NOT the arranger who did something in their notes. If something isn't mentioned, the arranger did it. Example, in most of them from before the last year or so lights are never mentioned, the arranger did them. Now, as Eli has taken on lights, lighting is listed separately.

Geoff's vocal range never ceases to amaze me. Anyone who can take a bass line one minute and a tenor line the next and not break a sweat is amazing. Ashley Diane was amazing in her own right as was the rest of the group.
Ashley is a BOSS in this! Geoff is fire as usual! And Layne sings! Plus I'm a theater geek and this makes my heart happy.
Those sillouhette shots are fucking fire and Ashley's runs are GEMS!!
The bass that you thought was Eli was actually Geoff usually if it's a recording he sings his part then goes back and does the bass
i didnt think that they ever used multiple tracks for a single person apart from when it's geoff's solo work, but i could be wrong
@Wisdom at the ending of the video it shows that it's in fact geoff that sings the bass at the beggining

The mix between each others tones and singing styles flow so even with one another i enjoy also hearing voiceplays newest member cesar who is an absolute perfect fit for this group. You will truly enjoy is!

I absolutely adore this song so much. Back when I was a kid I was obsessed with Gwenstifani’s version of this and then learned later in high school choir that the original came from the movie “Fiddler on the roof” which we watched and learned from. When Voiceplay put this out I was ecstatic and fell in love with it immediately. Then when I saw you made a reaction vid I knew that you would too~ thanks for the vid, your reactions always make me smile 😊

Eli is extremely underrated, but that was Geoff on the bass as usual 🙂 a lot of people think that Eli did the bass during Geoff's Shiny solo in the Moana medley, but that was also Geoff double tracked.

You know, I'd love to see you react to Jonathan Young. He does heavy metal and hard rock covers of songs. Among other things, he does a lot of Disney covers. I think a good jumping-off point would be his cover of Hellfire from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. You could even chase that with his collab cover of The Bells of Notre Dame with Caleb Hyles (a frequent collaborator). Heck, their collab on Wolf in Sheep's Clothing is gutting. Still, one of his covers that I'm probably most blown away by is In the Dark of the Night from Anastasia. For such goofy source material, he does a legitimately amazing job. He's even starting to branch out into original work. I really love his song Land of the Living, which would also be a good jumping-off point for you!
Howdy, Mrs. Kaz. Enjoyed this reaction, as all of your reactions. Tiny correction on Eli doin the bass as Geoff sang. It was actually Geoff doubled in post production. Same as in Oogie Boogie's Song. Eli was just OOOOING with the others. Absolutely right about Eli bein underrated though. All these folks deserve a spot in A Cappella Hall of Fame! If they ain't no such, there dang well should be.

This is one of my favourites by VP! Ashley was an amazing addition for this song IMO. They all shined in their own parts but Geoff blows me away every time he sings... that ending by Geoff
4:34 as a lifelong bass, that is an incredibly hard note to hit, let alone to hold, I can only hit that note every other day, but to hold it as long as he does, I’d be lucky to pull that off once a month😅 Geoff was my inspiration and has been my favorite bass for 15 years
In the “girl” section, when Ashley takes us uptown and then all the way downtown? Yeah, I just fell in love.
This is one of my favorites from Voice Play. Ashley was phenomenal in this. I hope they include her in more songs.
I LOVE absolutely everything about this! Everything, everyone, is absolutely perfect! And that's saying something coming from me, because I rarely enjoy every detail unless it's Home Free, and only occasionally even then. But this is pure gold! Eli can sing some bass! Sometimes he does it and sometimes Geoff records the bass apart of his singing. They are so awesome 😭❤️

Geoff went to the Moutaintop then to the Ocean depths!!! The Whole Bunch were Just Show'n Off!!! But, what would we expect.....Nothing Less
It's a 4 Octave change Geoff performs at the end. He has an incredible 5 Octave Range, as do Tim Foust & Avi Kaplan. Very rare, but, not that unusual in Basses believe it or not.
