@nimrodsson4029 agreed ! I've lived in California , Oregon , and Washington and have traveled up and down the coast countless times. Even traveled the train up to Seattle and couldn't imagine a more beautiful trip. Although that was 1968 and the route might have changed since then. I've also traveled through the Sierra , high and low deserts , lake Tahoe , and the southern deserts. Lots of awesome spots on the entire coast.

However there are some secret underground military bases in some of these and some that are weirdly extremely protected by the US military. Like extremely protected. Literal no fly zones in some parts of Grand Canyon, can’t even fly a drone in some parts. It’s strange. They’re protecting something.

For a smaller but still intense sand dune experience there is also Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes along the coast of Lake Michigan. L Michigan and L Huron are geographically the same lake, and (together) the 2nd largest freshwater lake in the world. The sand dunes are left from the grinding of the last ice ages' glaciers... over 500 feet high in places. In some, the pale golden sand plummets almost straight down, and there are ongoing land slides across the face as the sand endlessly slides down into the water. In others, it's possible to climb them - if you don't mind slipping i step down for every 2 you take up.

Yellowstone Park was a big revelation to me when I first saw her in 1975. There are I think hundreds of smaller hot springs lakes all over the basin where Grand Prismatic Lake is located, each with unique colors depending upon the rock that surrounds them. Word has it that the first white man to see these springs was someone got lost from his party of fur trappers approx 215 years ago. When he finally made his way back to his encampment, the descriptions he gave his fellow trappers of the Yellowstone area sounded so fantastic that his mates thought he'd just gone crazy for lack of food at the time.

Great Smoky Mountains are a rainforest and it can be hard to fully appreciate the multilayered beauty, like the auroras and fireworks: you need the immersive experience of being there.

I’m so happy that you were able to see so many parts of American beauty. When you come to visit, and we hope you do, California has the Pacific Ocean, Mountains with peaks over 14,400 ft (Mt Whitney in the Sierra Nevada range), and only 80 miles from there is Death Valley which has spectacular views, the deepest Valley, sand dunes and wonderful places to go, along with growing dates, from the palm trees. (just don’t go in the summer!) So many magical places in the White Mountains, like the Bristlecone Pine trees that grow between 9,000 to 11,000 ft elevation and live from 3,000-5,000 years, wild Bighorn sheep, Eagles, and wild Mustang horses. Also in the Sierra the Sequoia National park will make you feel so tiny standing next to these Sequoia trees, tall and wide magnificent beauties, not to forget so many lakes from the winter snows. From there you can continue across the USA and discover so much! I’ve always wanted to visit Australia, but I’ve never been. My children have been there often, and the love it. This world has so much to offer, if people will go out for adventures close by or far away. Life is too short, don’t miss this Created, mind blowing world we live in.

Such gorgeousness. Went out west with my husband who wanted to show me the West. I am a born Floridian and only lived in N Carolina for 3 months while my dad worked on rebuilding homes after Hurrican Hazel destroyed the Atlantic coast. He was raised in California and every summer his parents took the kids by various routes back to Arkansas to see the rest of the family. We met in last yr of high school when his dad went from working on experimental aircraft to Cape Canaveral missile launches. I got lucky with my fellow - had 48 yrs together before he died after 10 yrs of stage 4 colon cancer. On our 2 trips we saw Devil's Tower in Wyoming, Yellowstone, the Rocky Mountains west of Denver where it snowed on us July 1 - we were in the Miata with the top down, the Painted Desert, Bryce Canyon (stunning), took a hike along a trail of interest in Utah which turned out to be remains of cave dwellers, saw Arches, and Canyonlands, Dinosaur National Park, Zion National Park, went on the edge of the Grand Canyon, walked across the Royal Gorge Bridge at the time the highest - we drove our Miata across the wooden bridge there in Colorado, Steve took me to a section of New Mexico where extinct volcanos had spread glassy black lava from long ago across the landscape. It's known for its Ice Caves, you walk across the landscape in the summer - hot as hell - see the steps down 30 ft to the ice caves frozen since before the birth of Christ. Totally unreal. I believe that it is part of national parks now. Probably one of the most beautiful places was when we went scuba diving off the Florida Keys - huge growths of coral in all the colors and shapes, same for the fishes and the wildlife there - breath-taking, glad we had our air tanks. We camped at Big Pine Key - dove for lobsters under the bridges (they have a 7-mile bridge from one key to the next), did a night dive and were surrounded and stabbed by the unicorn shrimp running into us by the thousands. Water there is the most beautiful light blue-green. Small Key deer run around the camping area. A funny story about a trip my mom took my brother and I from Orlando, FL to California by plane. We were flying over an incredible landscape when the pilot said, "If you look out your window, you can see the Grand Canyon." Mom looked out and said, "Which one is it?" I told her, "All of it."

There are some other awesome sand dunes, White Sands National Monument (you should look that up--not a great place in the heat of the summer because it is scary hot) being one in New Mexico in the southern part of the state (can take that in along with Carlsbad Caverns), some in Michigan off Lake Michigan and some others around the country. It would be nice if so many 'reactors' were able to connect with peeps on this side and travel to the 'unknown' areas as guests vs. everyone just watching the same old, tired footage.
