I think it's great that you found your way of accomplishing things. If it makes you feel better and gets you results, absolutely do it your way. The journey continues. =)

Fellow ADHD person here. The whole feedback thing, adding harsh words that aren't there, and taking it personally is rejection sensitivity. Another of the lovely gifts that ADHD bestows. The channel How to ADHD has some great videos on what it is and how to work around it. She also goes hard into the research, which I'm sure you'll appreciate as an academic. I found your channel through Kaelyn's as I'm looking to go back to school in my 40's and was so glad to see you documenting your journey as someone with ADHD. Keep up the great work!

Oooh thank you for pointing that out! I know I experience RSD but I’m not always aware of it! I think my approach of just feeling it and coming back with a clearer head has worked so far but I’ll check out her video! Thank you!

I'm watching this while swatching for the classic Lavenda Rainbow Jumper which is my reward to myself after finishing my masters work and going to my graduation (and then coincidentally also coming down with a cold lol). You have been working so hard, and although I don't always watch all of your videos, I am so happy for you and proud of you and I am so glad to see another woman succeeding in academia while figuring out how to take care of yourself and work with/around the ADHD!

Oooh that sounds like a lovely thing to do as a reward - what a beautiful design/pattern too, I hope to see it when you're done with it! Thank you for the support and the kind words, it means a lot to me - and congrats on finishing your masters work!!

I love your stickers on your Apple laptop. Is there a special case you bought to let your stickers shine through or do you just add the stickers to your laptop (without a case)?
    😁🤩

Thank you! It’s actually a collage that I made & taped it onto my laptop and then put a clear plastic case over it to protect it and the laptop

Oh god she started w the feedback 💖 I’m bracing myself for the feels. I’ve been avoiding tackling my feedback for a couple weeks now 🥲 I scanned thru it once and she was v nice but I still felt kinda disappointed that I didn’t come across as focused enough in my paper despite how much I tried bc lol of course I didn’t

I totally get it- but at the end of the day incorporating feedback leads us to a final product that we’re proud of!
