  • How I film driving videos:
    Gopro windshield mount which can stick to any window as well as outside of the vehicle and helps with the stabilization.
    Tackform headrest mount, attach and scoot the seat up as far as needed.
    Lavalier microphone with a clip to attach anywhere in vehicle.
    Gopro 9 & 10 cameras which have good stabilization for no shakiness.

    I want you to sleep to natural sounds for relaxation, meditation, and sleep. Also, use it while doing your homework or just because. Rain sounds can be quite refreshing for your brain. It gives you that calm soothing feeling of relaxation and peace that makes you feel safe. I've been listening to rain since I was young and always felt a connection to its sound. When it first starts from the smell rain exudes to the symphony of distant thunder it emanates. The sound of water droplets falling into puddles and white noise that sends positive vibes throughout my body. Pure relaxation at its finest with deep concentration of thoughts blooming throughout your mind. The raindrops reach out and tickle your soul with each splash that lands. I sleep to it, write to it, use for deep moments of mindful rest, and just as a background ambiance in my everyday life. Sleep well everyone.

      I might look into that. I just bought a film tools mount as well. Might have to do an update video on my current setup. Appreciate the comment.

    What baffled me most wasn't the setup but how you "manage" to get hours of rain on end 😂 Don't know if you loop videos but it didn't seem too extreme - but the endless rain does seek extreme! Wettest spot on earth.

    • @TheRainDriver
      @TheRainDriver  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sometimes I loop after a long while sometimes I don't. I have 4 Gopro batteries so that's 4 hours of continuous recording. I plan on buying more because I want to record really long continuous drives. Appreciate the comment.

    • @TheRainDriver
      @TheRainDriver  ปีที่แล้ว

      I was using the zoom lavalier mic connected to Zoom H6 but now using some xlr pencil microphones. I mix the GoPro audio with the Zoom audio in Vegas Pro. You can honk the horn or clap so both mics will pick it up for syncing purposes.

    Is a gpro better than a dash cam or a phone camera

    • @TheRainDriver
      @TheRainDriver  ปีที่แล้ว

      Never used a dash cam, but the gopro has great stabilization with the hypersmooth and films up to 5.3k at 60 fps, 4k 120fps, and HD 240 fps. Has lenses, attachments, mounts to put anywhere and is a compact camera. Phones with a good mount and stabilization would be a good choice as well. Especially with some of the picture quality these phones have now. I just prefer gopro because of that said above, easy to use, and it's very tough as I've dropped it many times with no damage. Only negative for me is the higher resolution you go less battery life. Can also overheat when used for a long time as well. There are tricks to get around that though.

    How long can you record continuously until the camera overheats ?

    • @TheRainDriver
      @TheRainDriver  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For 4k, the 9 goes for hours, but the 10 about 1 hour. If I increase the airflow of the defroster a bit longer. In 1080, really don't have much issue with overheating as long as I keep them cool.

  • @DarthRaider
    @DarthRaider ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Wait how does your hero 10 not overheat? Mine overheats after about 30 minutes 4k 60fps , granted I haven't tried it outside of summer yet.
    Also, how do you record for so long on battery ? I was going to hardwire mine so I won't have to worry about the battery dying on me

    • @TheRainDriver
      @TheRainDriver  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If you mount your GoPro on windshield turn on your defroster (cool) and it sends air up the windshield keeping your GoPro nice and cool. I have 4 batteries which gives me about an hour a piece.

      @@TheRainDriver thank you. What settings do you use to record if you don't mind me asking ?

    • @TheRainDriver
      @TheRainDriver  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@DarthRaider Cinematic or Standard 4k 60 fps and if I'm mounted to windshield I usually take off hypersmooth. Depending on how bright it is turn the aperture/ISO up or down to your liking. Best filming time is usually in the evening or early morning when sun is not at full brightness. Of course, you can always color grade in whatever editing program you use. At night I'm still figuring out the best settings.
