After my oil change and new dipstick it said oil invalid on my display, before I threw away the old which I thought was broken dipstick it always read the amount of oil. With the new dipstick should the reading be much lower

Hello, the question is about the internal engine wash or the external engine wash? I don't know the benefits of washing the inside of the engine and what are the disadvantages of washing the inside before changing the oil... The engine in the video tutorial was not washed before changing the oil.
