As a retired truck driver, I can say without a doubt that you were more diplomatic than I would have been. Why in the hell would they have you leave your destination, drive 23 miles, then come back where you just were? over 1000 acres, it's not not like they don't have room for a small check in area.

Only sad thing about all these tax funded solar panel farms is that this is NOT long term life production. Average sights such as this have a maximum productive life expectancy of about 7 to 10 years. Then we taxpayers have to fund the heavy metal contamination cleanup before the land may be returned to any type of agricultural use for food production.

I could run that lull and unload myself...but the way they've treated you on this run. Had that been me. I'd take my truck, back as fast as I could downhill, slam the brakes, and be outta there. That whole operation out there looks suspect. If they've left you setting overnight? You should be getting paid an hourly ticket. I guess lunch break is 2hours long, and quiting time is 3:00? They've even got light towers out there! Someone should be unloading that truck!

@@simov8chevy Sounds like another brilliant idea from a manager. All people in management do all day is come up with hairbrained ideas that they think will justify their pointless job, but in reality they just make everything harder on everyone else and cause the company to lose money. I used to see this all the time when I worked as a vendor in big box retail stores like Walmart. Some new manager would come in and insist the store be rearranged for no apparent reason and all it did was screw everything up and piss off customers.

You mentioned them building on all the land around the houses at the Maplewood Project. They don’t purchase the land they build on. The project owner Dominion Energy actually leases the farm for 35 years. It has become a great source of income for the farmer. (May begetting older and kids don’t want to continue farming or something else). But the land owner retains owner ship and receives lease payments for the property instead of having to plant and harvest

YOUR A BETTER MAN THAN I AM CHARLIE BROWN. I DROVE OVER THE ROAD FOR 20 YEARS, AFTER VIET NAM, BECAUSE I WANTED TO SEE THE COUNTRY. THEY WOULD HAVE HAD TO CALL THE POLICE ON ME IF THEY TOLD ME TO GO 8 OR 12 MILES AS IT TURNED OUT TO BE, FOR YOU. IT'S INSANE. YOU ARE WAY MORE DIPLOMATIC AND SEEM TO HAVE MORE PATIENCE THAN I COULD HAVE EVER MUSTERD. I WENT NUTS THE FIRST TIME I RAN INTO A CUSTOMER WANTED ME TO PAY THEM TO UNLOAD MY TRUCK. TELL YOU THIS. I DON'T MISS A SINGLE DAY OF TRUCKING, SINCE I RETIRED. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR FUTURE IN TRUCKING.

I live in middle Ga. (been here all my life) and those things are going up everywhere. Have a neighbor who contracted to just cut the grass on some of these sites and he has gone from literally one zero turn mower to a fleet of stuff. Making money hand over fist. I honestly don't know how you keep your good disposition. You are a better person than I....

...finishing watching the rest of your video, and seeing the dirt road as you've unloaded and on your way out. Just imagining what's going to happen after a good rain, and that road turns to mud. A bit like driving through the World War 1 trenches I reckon

Hey Justin. Every truck driver has had loads and days like you are experiencing. It's very frustrating. So easy to lose your cool on these loads. So far you're doing a great job keeping it together. Love your channel. You and your family have a great 4th.

On most construction sites if lightning is within 10 miles we are shutdown. Then we start work 30 mins after the last strike within 10 miles.

That is a croc of sh*t to back track 11 miles just to check in, then back 11 miles to get unloaded. They could of put that pickup truck near the entrance of where to be unloaded.

you probably already have your fireworks, but if not: Carolina Fireworks in Easley is an awesome company. Fantastic choices, reasonable prices. Been around for a LONG time. You "may" want to bobcat...but don't take the trailer. (little streets to get there. They of course get deliveries, but no reason for you to deal...). Happy 4th!

I deliver solar panels out there 3x a week in containers tho… we have to do the same thing as well with checking in there and then go there to get unloaded.
