Ah, the joys of lost media... I would add the winning playing of Double Digits to the list of things I hope surface some day... adding to the original rules for Penny Ante.
Like all pricing games, they have to start somewhere. And Double Digits was somewhat of a precursor to the ultra successful Temptation which 50+ years later is still being played to this day. Unlike Temptation in which the contestant risks all four prizes to play for the car, here (s)he only wins the small prizes if the digit above is correct and all four if the price of the car is exactly right. Maybe it wasn't the most memorable game on the show. As for its shelf life, it wouldn't be the last.
1:29-I don’t know if you said this in an older video, but can we all just admit that’s the beehive hairstyle is awful! Except if it’s someone famous like Audrey Hepburn, Adele, Beyoncé, Barbra Streisand, or Marge Simpson, no regular person should wear this hairdo.
I remember watching a Showcase round, and it was interrupted by the Iran-Contra scandal. Never ever found out who won.
“Double Digits” was the predecessor to “Temptation” which would later become as “Temptation” which is currently in rotation.
If you had "thank you Richard Nixon" on your bingo card, you are the only winner

Taking a bad game and change it into temptation the greatest game ever and it’s also my favorite game

Hiya, Marge Simpson!
My pick for the worst pricing game of all time. It has everything in a bad pricing game: Ugly set, confusing rules, dull game play, hard to win.
