hi. i have a very old daily driver laptop, the C55-B5270. you are quite possibly the only person i've found with documentation on this weird screen. thank you for being the Ron Swanson of laptop repairers. no nonsense, no fancy editing, just purely utilitarian. i will probably forget about this video in one week, which is the best possible outcome.

Geek Squad said our screen couldn't be fixed, I guess that's so they get to sell me another laptop...another 'reputable' computer repair service said it could be fixed, would cost almost $300...their labor is $50/hour...I googled two vids...one had the screws on the front of the bezel, and the other, YOURS did not--thank you for this video--allowed me to replace the screen in just a few minutes and give my 11 yr old his xmas present back...I am so grateful-you have no idea!
Very informative. My Toshiba c55-b5240 had no screws to remove the bezel. You showed that it pops out by placing a thin screwdriver between the bezel and screen. Thank you! This really helped alot!

hello there, my screen was jumping and thought to unplug and plugback the cord to the screen, accidentally my laptop was turned on at that time and , while i was doing a little spark occurred, don't know why, now the screen is not at all working,its just like not being connected to the laptop, dead, what to do, is it the screen's problem or the cod. it was working but was only jumping, but if you press at the bottom of the screen jumping even would stop at that time, now even all is dead, its Toshiba satellite c660

Having an issue with try to figure out how to remove the battery...no slide mechanism to get it out. So why doesn't anyone show this issue??
What is the cost of a screen for c55-B5200 ?

Well I actually broke the LCD Cable by ripping it too hard. Anyone know how to replace the old one (I'm getting a new one within a couple weeks)
