Thanks for this great video! I've been reluctant to disassemble my C55-B5270, which is very similar to the one you're working on, until I came across this video. I love my laptop because it's fanless, but I wanted to reseat the RAM because the machine will occasionally lock up for no reason. I don't know if the problem is with the RAM or something else. I'll be streaming something, and all of a sudden it freezes, and whatever sound was coming from the speakers kind of stutters, and there's a sort of buzz as the result of the frozen audio. So I have to hold down the power button until it powers down, and then reboot. I can sometimes go weeks without a lockup, and sometimes it freezes twice in the same day. Any ideas you may have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!
Nice! I have this laptop too, added an SSD to it and installed Manjaro Linux. Made it 100X better. But the screen is broken and the top is broken too. How to fix?

Sounds like a bad hard drive. You can test the RAM using memtest.

Likely the main battery acts as the cmos.

Don't think so and wireless card I think is under the flat ribbon cable.
