    Four years later, your video is still helpful! My toddler knocked my laptop off an end table and I was seeing red in places where it should be dark gray or black. Asked around, and people said it could be fixed. Off to TH-cam to search for videos, and was amazed to find one for the exact same model laptop. Your easy-to-follow instructions were very helpful. All I needed to do was get to the back of the monitor panel and re-seat that connection... the picture is back to normal! Thank you for sharing your skills with us.

    Thank you! I used this tutorial to take a screen out of a dead laptop and repurpose it as a monitor for my desktop.
    Cheers!

    Excellent demonstration. I saved 120£ by ordering the part and fixing it my self after seeing this video. other wise it would have cost me 170£ to get it replaced my broken screen.

    Thank you so much! Your directions were really easy to follow. And replacement screens are really easy to find on eBay. The whole operation took me longer than your demonstration since I hadn't done it before, plus I had to crawl around looking for dropped screws a couple of times, but I was still done in less than 30 minutes. Thanks again!

    Thanks so much for this video!!! It was super easy but when you're putting the new screen on, make sure you put the bottom screws in first, it makes it much easier!

    Thank you so much! My toshiba had an issue with the display being split in 3 equal sections. It wasn't damaged but obviously that is an issue that need to be worked out. Your video is great and helped me get to the cable that was causing the issue.Again thank you!

    I haven't replaced the cable but I was able to open up the laptop and get to it so I know how to replace it. From what I've found out it seems as though the cable is responsible for the screen appearing like that. I've found the replacement online for pretty cheap I just haven't gotten around to taken it care of because I got a $1200 Dell for $150 and have been messing around with that and just use my toshiba while its hooked up to my Samsung Flat Screen via HDMI, eliminating the problem for now

    Help Please!
    Can I use the same screen for a Toshiba Satellite L755D-S5218? will it be compatible?

    • @pnaw10
      @pnaw10 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Lorena Aquino I am 99% sure all L755D models have the same screen, regardless of what comes after the hyphen. For the most part, all L755Ds are the same. The numbers after the hyphen only differ based on minor specs like how much RAM or hard drive capacity... or in some cases, companies offer different model numbers to specific retailers, usually major chains that buy in large quantities. This might allow "Retailer A" to sell the L755D-S1234 for $50 or $100 more than what "Retailer B" charges for the L755D-S4321, regardless of Retailer A's "price match guarantee" policy. They may be the same computer in pretty much every way, but that different number at the end gives "Retailer A" an easy excuse to say it won't honor price matching to "Retailer B" because they are technically "different" models.

    Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks alot. Now, can anyone help me figure out any way I can turn on my webcam in the mean time, while I manage to get my new screen on. I can't see the left side of the screen that is damaged. Thanks alot!

    Apparently it cost upwards if $300 to fix at the repair shop, I'll never buy a Toshiba computer again. They are garbage... This Dell is far superior in design and durability. And their customer service is equally as bad. Good luck with your fix though, I know how frustrating it is
