    I'd add that when leaning out, it's important to stay on the gas also. I used to hop excessively in one double left hander at my track and I thought I was going to fast, but turns out giving it gas (but not flat out) stabilizes the cart while taking the corner.

    Is there any trial braking involved at all in a rental kart? Should you do all your braking in straight line before the turn? Or should you dab the brake and turn sharply at the same time?

    I once went to a track with some kind of Rimo karts, configured in such a way that they lose most of the wngine power while braking, and it was hard to gain it again. So I just decided to run this track with lifting only, and it appeared to be the only good option. On other tracks that I visited (mostly with Sodi), it's impossible to ignore brakes completely.

    Can you make a video on how to correct the kart bouncing a lot if you can? It would mean the world if you could

    Hi could you please tell me what ‘revs’ are because I don’t understand how to keep them high since I’ve been doing rental karting for a while but can’t find much to improve more on. Thanks!

    Today I was absolutely destroyed at an indoor track by two guys who didn't use the brakes even for hairpins. I guess there is lifting and there is lifting!

    How are you supposed to keep your revs high if you've just braked for a corner?! It baffles me! Pls explain

    • @kartingtips
      @kartingtips  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

      You need to brake EARLY in the corner and make sure to get back on the gas pedal BEFORE you reach the apex of the turn.

    I’m not insinuating that lifting only scenario can be as fast as the braking scenario but you’re using the wrong driving style for lifting only. If you were to lift only, you would start your turn in much earlier and make it a gradual increase in steering lock towards the apex and out instead of the late sharp turn in of a late braking driving style that you use and have in the braking scenario. Furthermore, you would also set your seat position to max forwards for the lift only scenario to make it easier for the inside rear to lift on its own as you spiral on entry towards the apex.

    New to karting but if you lean out wont it amplify the centrifugal force? When I ride my bike I have to lean in to counter the outward pushing force

    • @jarrodjordan5293
      @jarrodjordan5293 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No, the goal leaning out is to put more weight on the outside tires that are doing all the work. Also you want your inside rear tire to lift because there is no differential.

    Does this work similar to electric? Due to the fact that electric karts don’t have any revs

    • @kartingtips
      @kartingtips  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes! Electric karts have instant acceleration so it's easier to slide them. Be mindful of that when cornering and modulate the accelerator pedal carefully. Make sure your kart is not completely stopping at the apex of the corner as this is a sign you've entered it too quickly. Slow in Fast Out!
