One of the very few good covers from the film soundtrack. Aerosmith did a good job with Come Together. Sandy Farina sounds good on this soundtrack too. The Bee Gees sucked, and so did Earth Wind & Fire.
Bring me back year 1978 after high school graduation. Most of us in class are dreaming what will be in year 2018? and here ,lucky are those who can still sing the song minus or plus our dreams that that have come true and those that have not.
Beautiful song I listened to this when I drove to my partners house ...sadly she passed away ...this and golden slumbers in the movie always makes me think of her...how I wish I could turn the clock back ( like the movie)
A SRILANKAN grew with this song we had only radio and cassette recorders or very few LP record player !!! Still a great song listening from Tokyo !!!!i I dedicate this wonderful song for all my good old friends who have left this world before me !!!!
Like this version by Peter Frampton. just when I first started to listen to singers in different genres other than rock and roll etc. He was such a heart throb in his younger days. Also, still quite the musician. Just a relaxed version....not filled with emotions etc.
Nice, but there are so many covers of this magnificent song..........yes, one of the best songs of all time. Peter had a lot of guts to even tackle this. Best part is his guitar solo, or course.
One of the best versions of this great song. Love this song always and reminding me that keep positive no matter how hard life is gonna be whenever listening to the song!
Peter does a phenomenal job with this cover. He's got a golden voice, and brings heartfelt guitar riffs to the mix. Thanks for posting this. I loved the movie, too!!
Just one of my many fave songs from Sgt. Peppers soundtrack. This one & Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight...both get me emotional every time. Great songwriting from The Beatles!!
I grew up watching the movie. I used to sing the song to some girls in the playground. They would asked me during recess to sing them. Good times of my life.
My rich classmates back in high school would bring their album copies in school & I can only look in admiration & envy. My family can't afford it. We did not even have a stereo except for a used turn table that my father hooked up with an old 8-track car stereo that his boss disposed.
WELL on this Day after PF Announced his farwell Tour To end his and our long and winding rd due to a health issue will fitting end in the SAN FRANCISCO BAY and YES in my bias 44 yr of enjoying his true Soundtrack of my life with Millions of others as well PF Did do the very Best cover of this our LONG AND WINDING ROAD his friends the 4 john, paul and especially George and RING IM sure APPROVE
One of the few times a cover was better than the original. Peter just blew me away with this. David Draiman from Disturbed did a similar cover of Simon & Garfunkels, "Sound of Silence," and that was pretty terrific. The movie had some great covers like Sandy Farina singing Strawberry Fields Forever too. That was a long time ago. Saw Sgt Peppers with my Dad back at age 10 in Tulsa OK, I am 50 now.... but yes this is pretty much one of my favorites in that movie.
Yes! This is the only song that I can say is much better than the original. Peter Frampton's version is more emotional especially the instrumental part.
Of course Macca's version has no equal, but this highlights a guitarist's interpretation and not from the classic pianist's POV. I thought it was brilliant from that perspective.
■This song became underrated because of negative reviews of the movie and Frampton was already on a major decline & disgrace from his '75-'76 superstardom status. ■However, just from it's own artistic merits, this version can actually stand toe to toe with McCartney's. ■The melancholic guitar solo of Peter remarks how talented he is as a guitarist. ■"Actually better than perceived" version for me. ●Thank you.
Omg peter lol this song do kills me. Lmao. I never gonna get you out of brain lmao I blame you too lmao cuz ya parents werent allow to make you cute. They just broke the mold lol. Ps. But you gave me goose bumps when ya did it in the movie.
Louis Armstrong, Frampton, whoever, it was written by Paul McCartney in Scotland and the Beatles version is by far the best version, I did enjoy Peter singing this in that terrible movie, it was a bright spot of the whole charade, but I think realistically Frampton was a guitar player and still is, that was and is his destiny, I have read that he really never did want to be a singer and hated the pretty boy image.
I have never heard that he didn’t really want to sing, but this man can write a song about anything! He has one about “I Saved a Bird Today”about a coot who stranded itself on his balcony in Nashville. Another is about a dead bird in a box. (I’m not sure if that song is part of the score he wrote for a Cleveland Ballet production.) He has said he was attempting to escape the stereotypical image of teen heartthrob that the unexpected and unbelievable success of Frampton Comes Alive brought him. (I’m guilty. I won my FCA 2LP in 8th grade from a radio station.) He later joined David Bowie “Glass Spider” tour playing lead guitar.. (There are videos available on here.) He directed the music for several motion pictures. “Almost Famous”is one you’re probably familiar with. I don’t know if he did other Cameron Crowe movies. This Sgt Pepper’s movie was silly, but it was my last “date”with my father. We had to travel over an hour to see it on opening weekend. We had dinner at Victoria’s Station before the movie. I was a kid but wow, I felt so special that night, like a princess. Many decades later, I began searching for my biological mother. It took many years, lots of patience, determination, imagination, and finally the courage to contact her and then to finally meet her. This song perfectly reflects that journey, no matter who sings it. If you have the opportunity to see Frampton’s “Raw” show, I highly recommend it. All acoustic, many stories. I was fortunate enough to spend time with him after a show in Florida. Very kind. Like most musicians I’ve met on tour, he seemed a little lonely or homesick despite having his son with him.
It's clear that people who say that this is the best cover of this song have never heard Olivia Newton-John's or George Michael's covers. They're far superior.
Haven't hear ONj's version, but once you see the video and live version 1999 by George Michael, you will see that it is absolutely incomparable! Superior in every way to every version........and I am a big Beatles fan, George Michael's cover is a masterpiece! Agree with Guillermo in every way! RIP Beautiful George Michael.!💔💔❣❣
I love this version of this great song - Peter Frampton's interpretation is brilliant

Maravilhoso Peter Frampton, regravação sensacional de um clássico dos Beatles...
Superb rendition❤
First Time I Heard This Song When I Watch Sgt Pepper Lonenly Hearts Club Band Movie.. 🇮🇩👍🇮🇩
Un clásico de los Fabulosos Beatles, composicion de la dupla Lenon y McCartney interpretado por otro clásico del Rock: Mr. Peter Framton
Gusto ko talaga ang version ni PETER kahit ang original nito ang Beatles.
Very good version.
💞Lindo Peter Frampton! E a canção belíssima na voz dele. É de arrepiar...💞

Escutei muito o LP Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, principalmente essa música, maravilhoso encontrar ela aqui...
In 1979 I Never it a Beatles Song ..I just discover today..Peter was awesome! The somewhat husky distinct voice of his..! Nice content!
Can you believe I still have the original album.
I too and love it

Great cover, i like this more than the Beatles. Very good guitar tunes, hearing it make me sad
Am I wrong to say this is the best version ever?????
Paul . Beatles.
A young man sang about the loss of his lover and likened his grief to a long, winding road.
If it's content, I think Peter's version is the best.

La banda sonora de este y los otros de la Película, SGT PEPPER's LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND, contaron con los arreglos y producción de MR. GEORGE MARTIN
I wonder if Paul McCartney or any Beatles members during that time have paid a gratitude for the Bee Gees for singing their songs.
After the film bombed, unlikely
Bravo!
Me encanta :-)
first time i ve heard this not bad
