Also seeing a soft gear market. An index like DXY measures the value of the dollar against a basket of other currencies and it has been appreciating lately, which is how most people understand the words "weaker dollar". The combination of insane returns + low headline inflation from the 2010s was never sustainable, and a mean reversion of those excess real returns is just a function of the fact that growth is finite.
Excited for that SineWaves Continuum! Been wishing you could get your hands back on that JM Sig Proto to capture with Tonex and other software! But that deal seemed pretty exclusive when you got to it profile for the Kemper. So next best thing! Appreciate your hard work man, excited to see some more Dumble/Two Rock stuff for the Tonex from you.
So what you’re saying is the value in going to carters is that you can try stuff out to make sure it works and you bought a cab with a broken input because you didn’t try it? lol
I cashed in hard this year. I have bought 3 guitars in the last few months and I have payed less than half what they are worth. Always remember to have fun money laying around for times like this.
Great video! I Had the same 8x10 cab many moons ago. Recently, I found 4 speakers similar to the ones that came with that cab. They are Celestion 10” pulsonic 4112 (I think). Forgive me if I’m wrong, I do suffer from CRS. Will definitely be interested in how you get those speakers to work with modern amps. My old 50 Watt Marshall head had no master volume. I had a Tom Schultz power soak hooked up to it, and I got the most luscious, creamy Hard Rock break- up. With That combination of head and cab it sounded great on AC/DC songs and Black Sabbath songs. I used no peddles. Also, had a Super D pickup in an Ibanez Les-Paul. Can’t wait to cop your IR at a Flash Sale !
2553! Those small box Jubilee's with the matching 2x12 are so cool, came very close to buying one a couple times. The market is definitely weird, anything non vintage is not moving, I could hardly give away my Friedman TS. But the vintage stuff is all over the map. I did just grab a 59 Bassman for a great price, they've come down a bit for sure.
Totally! 59 bassmans are the exception to the vintage trend apparently, im seeing that too. Late 50s bassmans became crazy expensive in like 21 and 22, they needed to come down… about 1 year ago I walked into a shop and they had 3 😂
My son's school hand outs food to kids on Friday's. I am glad they do. No one in the world should be without food or healthcare. Sadly so many of their parents are just drugged up by either their dealer or their doctor.
Yeah dude! One of the things I notice on our area at the mobile food pantry especially is that the increase in people who you wouldn’t this would be there… people who lose a job and stay looking for much longer than at other times and have a real hard time in that season making ends meet.
Yes, it is! It’s a fully stock Tokai but this model had the Tokai made Dimarzio PAFs. They were supposedly made to Dimarzio spec but made in Japan by Tokai and I guess they paid for the license to call them Dimarzio. They put they in their top level LPs. These old Tokai are killer guitars!!
Yeah, All the players I talk to are experiencing the same thing. Stuff just sits. I moved about half the amps at Carters but it's taken a long time, several amps just don't seem o move. It's the high high end and rare vintage stuff that seems to still move but lots of stuff just sits.... At least that has been my experience.
Having recently purchased some rig packs, I’m happy to see my money getting put to good use! 😅 I’m up in Ontario and I’ve never seen the second hand market so flooded with all kinds of gear! People are definitely strapped and offloading gear all over the map!
Dude.... How is a Matchless 4x12 only $750??? That's insane. Even used ESD212's have been that much last time I checked. Flipping gear has been the only way to upgrade and not "take it in the shorts" for the last decade. If you are diligent, you can find some killer deals out there right now.
Amps aren't selling because nobody is using them anymore. You can get any amp sound you want for damn near free and a lot of venues (especially in Nashville) prefer a silent stage.
Nah when the market was up, people were paying premium and hanging on to amps. I sold a 92 SLO for 6500 barely 2 years ago. Doubt I’d be able to pull 3900 for it right now. I sold a Dual Dark 100 for 3500 six months ago. Doubt I’d be able to pull 2800 right now. I sold a 64 super reverb for 4200 a year ago, doubt I’d get 3500 for it right now. I sold a Friedman Smallbox for 2200 six months ago, doubt I’d be able to pull 1700 for it right now. Market is soft meaning leisure shit gets the axe. Going direct isn’t a new concept. The economy is the biggest contributor of current amp prices.
Well. Yes. And no. I know what you are saying. But my Kemper is not the same as my twin. It’s great but the amp has abilities the Kemper cannot do. If I am going to use an FRFR, I’ll just use the amp. Of course personal taste and trends all enter in. It’s very personal.
I don't NEED more gear but the market is ridiculous right now so I ended up picking up some stuff recently too. Not only is the market in the toilet but everyone and their mother is going digital so amps are getting hit event worse.
Thanks for exposing the lies! Make dual profiles…like the way you’ve done with different preamp and power sections. Only mic 2 different rigs in various ways…like two different Marshalls into a stereo cab or two different cabs to create one thick tone. I need to check out these rock bottom cabs, cause full studio profiles into a stereo tube power amp into 4x12s is my fav way to go!
Yeah prices are higher than just a few years ago for sure but there are deals out there is you look and if you make offers. I’m finding a lot of stuff is just sitting.
@@ToneJunkieTV I don't use amps anymore, although I have mesa, jackson, vox and fender tube amps, I have helix stuff and a tonex pedal, for me they are way more versatile then any amp
Really didn't need maga stuff in my tone chasing. I appreciate differences in opinion but guitar youtube is not my preferred enviornment for politics. Not looking for a fight. Just sharing my opinion. Politics aside, i would love some TJ mixed bass products. I have been patient for that. Ampeg B15, Black panel bassman, and a SVT with good bass cabs. I primarily play bass and want TJ quality for the low end.

Been buying amps and cabs myself too. Can’t believe what I’m getting these things for.
Nice!
Good job on the food pantry!!
Ive been buying peavey amps because my family get on me about spending more than 200$ on gear..at once at least lol
@ToneJunkie You need to get one of the Little Walter 50 watt amps so you could put it on kemper and quad cortex!! That would be awesome!!
So what you’re saying is the value in going to carters is that you can try stuff out to make sure it works and you bought a cab with a broken input because you didn’t try it? lol

Congrats on amps! I have a early 70’s cab like your 8x10 but with 4 pre rola greenbacks!! Da grail!!!
Thanks dude, I’m really excited about it! Half the speakers are original and half have been reconed.

Gotta buy the gear dips. I stumbled into a few pedals 10-50% off what I consider the typical used priced lately.
Hi, couldnt find a contact info in the website. A question about all pack for kemper; are the liquid profiles also included in this pack? Thanks
Yes they are!!
I think Magnatone once made a Giant of Kandahar sized amp. Saw a photo of it on the back of a 18 wheeler Flatbed truck with some band in front of it.
That TB Luxe box for $7 has been a life saver
1800 calories for ~$8 is a good deal. Had it last night. Not the highest quality food, but cheap
