- Use and develop commentary driving to pass ANY driving test. In this vid i talk through and demonstrate how to build your commentary drive. If you are a PDI in training or just wish to raise your driving level commentary driving is an advanced driving tool that is designed to help you become more aware of your surroundings and improve your driving skill. you can use it to make sure you're not forgetting to utilise your basics and then take your awareness of hazards to higher level.
If you are training for a part 2 test or an IAM then learn and pratise how to commentary drive.

I did some commentary driving on my test and the examiner said examiners love this as they get more of an insight into what learners are thinking, planning, seeing and it helps them. I think it helped me focus and keep calm and I did pass my test.
And of course you smashed your test?! It def helps! 👍
@@GetWheelDriving I can’t believe how calm I was during my test, considering my anxiety before. Did help I got such a great examiner, he went out of his way to make me less anxious . Guess I did smash my test😊

Great videos. I am just about to take my part 1. I qualified in 1997 and worked as an ADI until 2006, how much has the part 2 changed since 1997? Do I have to give a commentary? I have helped a few learners recently and seemed to just fall back into all my talk throughs and instruction with ease but when I watch youtube videos it makes me feel like there are a lot things that are different nowadays. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yes Sir! Back in the car! No need for commentary on a part 2… Driving will be a bit different from when you last trained with the advent of sat nav or following road signs and being less reverse heavy. Only 2 manoeuvres on test. Eco safe driving is also now marked as a fault. Happy to help if I can!
Passed the Part 1 today 95% and 70 on the hazard. Part 2 booked for 27th Dec in Colchester. That was the only test available within 100 miles of my address!@@GetWheelDriving
can u do another vid with commentary please but with a Rastafarian accent!.. would spice tings up a little for me and be more engaging.. mee thinks
In the test is it ok to do commentry drive loud instead of in brain at adi part 2 test
It shouldn’t be a problem but develop the skill to a level that you’re comfortable doing it out loud as well as internally. Just in case you lack the confidence to do it in front of the examiner. The main priority is stay focused. Stay consciously skilled at all times.
