Dude the only thing I keep thinking of when seeing specimens like that is a coffee table top, but that would be so impossible to slab out lmfao! What beautiful pieces though; I'll have to consider checking out that spot sometime! Wouldn't that rock be a good candidate for a bird bath as well! Just a thought! Lol
Beautiful material, and always a pleasure to see Greg D on camera! He tends to shy away! Such great gifts from him too! I love rocks and minerals the glow under black light! UV reactive minerals are fun! But the pieces from the mine are awesome! I just love the different variety of colors and materials at the wild turkey mine! So fantastic! Thanks Jared and Greg for this video!
One of the first rocks that began my lifelong love affair w/rocks/minerals and hounding. Ty for the fun video and trip out there! Can’t wait to see some polished up.
Nice serp! One of my favourite local rocks. Formed via 'serpentisation'; which is the result of mineral rich fluids (mostly hot) passing through rock and metamorphing it.
I live in nor cal and found a massive deposits of nephrite and also was just informed of a fire opal mine as well as a jadeite deposits would love to meet up and show you my spots
Dude. You all might be "appropriating" our State Rock, again!!! Very cool looking area. You guys are lucky to be living up there. Beautiful country. And another nice video.
a better name is “strawberry patch” serpentine as opposed to “strawberry” on its lonesome imo. Strawberry implies a red tint while strawberry patch could help justify the green. Also super weird to see that I got one of the pieces in my serpentine bucket that you left behind! Cool seeing you there too, happy 4th!
hi. I see Graig from Canada is wearing a CLRC shirt. He's from Calgary I'm assuming? I just recently joined that club. Does he have a youtube channel or website?

I would love to have a big slab like that for a table top, but sadly I don't own a giant wire saw, yet!

That's pretty stuff. I would like to go there. I live in Spokane area. How far away would it be? Is it private and do you need permission?
This is a private location but they will be opening up again a few times this summer. All of the information you need is listed on my website.

He is from Calgary. So far he hasn't really been uploading videos but perhaps that will change.
Just checking if I can post comments...
You sure can post comments!

That is a really complex question to try and answer in a comment.
