For sure, I can confirm that very much being Dutch but lived in Germany the last 40 years! And the people are more open...

…actually U confirm exactly opposite: even Dutch U chose to spend 40years of yr life in Germany, not NL! :)) Germany is The Highest Power of EU from many/all points of views.English indeed is more popular in NL but still U can find load of English speaking jobs in Germany, especially in Frankfurt/Berlin/Munich/Hamburg.Where ever U go into this EU and want to be part of that society,U eventually has to respect enough that society to try at least to assimilate their local language,so German in Germany, that actually is the best favour that U can make to yourself 4 a life time and not only for Germany (german companies/ones requiering German are all over Europe, even in Greece,Portugal,Malta…not to speak about Austria,Lux,🇨🇭…etc-most developed nations of EU)

@@mi-re-la I didn't choose to live here at 12 years of age. We had a business here and in those days it was easy to make money off the Germans.
"The highest power"? Duh, we are the largest economy but other than that, Germany is way, and I mean and it is by fact(!), behind, especially looking at countries like NL, Scandinavia and even Italy is icking up on a faster pace than Germany.
Yes there might be jobs in the hotspots, but good luck trying to find an affordable place to live.
As for the rest of your comment, don't get the point you're trying to make. But just on a small note, some teachers are now getting iPads, but there's no WiFi infrastructure in schools... THAT is the state Germany is in.

@@AMK190768 I tried nothing :) just told directly my opinion about Germany -as U told yours ab. NL :) - underlining indeed the importance of German language if one wants to challenge him/herself with smth v.useful for own life; as well as the strength/power of 🇩🇪 economy. rather than this, also I consider that we‘re not planted trees so as any of us and in any situation can choose freely the place/land or even anything else that makes us most happy. NL for me is a ridiculous-high taxable country with toooo much wrong understood freedom of (some) people and a strange smell all over the country; while Germany is the country of opportunities to live a great life, travel the world(lot of annual leaves&days off) fresh air, stunning castles and natural, green=healthy landscape to explore-especially Baden-W. Scandinavians -agreed-above any in Europe (Switzerland as well) but too pity by theirs weather, not the sunniest&warmest one anywhere, any season.

Here a dutch citizen for 20 years.
    - On average the taxes are higher in Holland.
    - We have something called like autowegbelasting .. you pax tax for the roads you use and this can be at minimum 250 euro for every 3 months (quarter) .. something which is unknown in Germany
    - The social help in Germany is way higher then in Holland and it's also easier to get. Think about kindergeld etc..
    - The salaries are HIGHER in Germany and did I say that the tax is cheaper too in Germany ??!
    - There are way way, way more oppertunities in just Berlin then whole holland.
    - Just like in Germany you have to learn the dutch language to be appreciated by your company and colleagues. They might not be complete upright about it but they will expect it from you.
    - The dutch language is more difficult then german language. The German language is a world language while the dutch is not. You can spend 8 years in Germany and will speak the german language way better. You can live in Holland 20 years and will still struggle talking like a local.
    - The education system is indeed great but not greater then Germany. The school and teacher decides what is better for your children. They will listen to your opinion and but can completely ignore it and studies have shown that they do this often. Resulting into sending children under their level schools. In Germany you have a say and can "force" to send your children to your choice of school.
    - The cars are way cheaper - most dutch companies buy german cars and sell these higher in Holland.
    - They houses are way cheaper .. A small house in holland will at least cost 400k almost anywhere in Holland. In Germany outside of cities you can buy a complete castle for 400k.
These are just a few things which I counted on top of my head. I appreciate your opinion however I found that I needed to put my opinion also here because I just found most things incorrect. Holland is indeed a great and beautiful place to visit for a vacation I would say. It does have huge respect for Indian people. There are also a lot of Indian people here and all of then seems to be in the Tech sector. But i thought there were more indian people in Germany?! .. Not to say that Germany has even more beautiful places then Holland. Stuttgart and the local area's are just mesmerising. The beautiful hills and semi mountains are a great scenery.

Appreciate your detailed views. This is super useful for the students. They should evaluate all different perspectives.
As an expat, I find more Indians in position of responsibility in NL vs. DE.
Wonder why would you prefer to live in NL and not DE? :)

Don't forget the huge housing crisis in the Netherlands. This also makes it very hard and more expensive to live there.

    • @jillvandenlinden6946
      @jillvandenlinden6946 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@euroshala-workandstudyineu7171 In the whole country it's a massive issue. Theres a major shortage on houses. And its become almost impossible and very expensive to get a house. The Netherlands is overpopulated in my opinion. They are too ambitious for such a small country. I dont know about the housing situation in Germany but at least they got a lot more space to build.

BMW is more expensive than a Tata car - which one do you want to buy? I have lived in both countries for a long time. You want to focus on your growth as an Indian/Asian. NL work-wise is more relaxed and has better merit system than Germany.
