Dude UBahn in Berlin stops at midnight during the week, after midnight we have night busses nobody like to take, cause they run at odd hours. Ubahn goes all night only on the weekend! I am a native Berliner and I know Amsterdam well, it's easier to make friends with dutch locals than with native Berliners.
I recently visited Cologne and had such an amaaaazing time. 3-4 times I was struggling with some automated machines and the attendents came forward to help without being asked. Generally very lovely people! ❤ already planning on visiting again. 😁 Much love from India!
There is a Deutschland payback card and a germany card to get discounts in supermarkets. I myself as a dark person live in various countries for my work , and I notice that I am part of society in the Netherlands , while in Germany you can participate in society as long as you listen to the people around you and you stick to the strict rules!!
Albert Heijn is regarded as not very cheap (a nice shop though, compare it to REWE). A Bonus card gives one discount but uses his data. Cheaper supermarkets are Jumbo, Aldi, Lidl, Food discount.
Loved it! You’re doing an awesome job educating people especially about the things one would never really have a chance to learn before moving to a new country. Plus - I totally feel you about those “outliers” - in my head too they were always sooooo aggressive. LOL
I have been living in Nederland for almost 20 years what I don’t like about holland is the skyrocketing prize of gasoline food clothes and constant changes of the law with out being consulted the populace , the Dutch people are one of the most indebted countries in Western Europe the worst is tax it’s above any country in Europe . The motor road tax astonishingly is high 2000 euro while in Germany you pay entirety of the year 200 euro .. the only thing holland is good is very peaceful and they can speak English and will be happy to direct you if you lost translation.
It's true tax in the Netherlands is very high, probably the highest in Europe. However, talking about roads, Holland roads are better than Germany, that could explain why road tax is much higher.
You are lucky nobody has been rude to you because you don't speak Dutch :) but you have been living there only 10 months. Some older Dutch people have been rude to me in my workplace (even though I have worked in a cafe in a touristy area). Young people seem to be more understanding and polite. There is night buses so during the night you can get home (if the bus goes to your area). I used to spend around 100-150 euros a month for groceries. 500 euros for a room is a great price. Right now average price I would say is something between 600-700 (more expensive in the popular areas). Albert Heijn is pretty expensive so I would recommend supermarkets like Jumbo, Plus, Lidl, Aldi (depends if they are in your area).
JUMBO is my favourite supermarket in the Netherlands. When I lived in the Netherlands I lived near Albert heijn . Other than this it was a great video to watch :)
Good video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
Oh really! Thats interesting cos groceries in Germany is already very cheap compared to some European countries like the UK , France etc. But that's good to know. Thanks for the info
@@Waleochronicles yeah we have the lowest tax rate as far as food. My husband lives in Germany and I in Amsterdam. Even Netto Rama I considered it expensive

I’m new here, pls why did she go to Ghana to process her visa ?
Because the Netherlands Embassy in Nigeria does not handle non schengen visa applications. You have to go to the embassy Ghana for this.
Ich möchte ja keine Werbung machen - aber PAYBACK funktioniert recht gut
i know that nigerian tribes have a lot ...but from which you are? I mean your ethnic group
The most merry making, party loving and celebratory 😄 the Yoruba tribe. 😄
