Best description an inside 1 minute -- getting both the MK key and MX Master 3 Mouse I wanted to know if I needed a USB dongle for each of them or it one would do -- answered in 1 minute. You only need 1 of them to connect both of them.
Excellent pronunciation, explanation, as also pleasing for high tech and non-techies. Would appreciate if following can be addressed : 1. The MX KEYS key board with backlight off (Fn key + F6 together), can function how long with just one time recharge? The reason is, the first day I charged the key board, it functioned only for a day of 24 hours and I hardly used the key board. Is this any problem with the key board or it happened due to charge getting over. 2. How to use the different keys such as Fn, F1, F2 ..... F10 , what are the different functions, how to brighten, lighten the key board, and all further details. 3. Similarly how to use the MX Master 2S mouse? especially the wheel like thing in front, two wheels near the thumb finger, another button like at the top, what are the different tasks assigned, how can this be made user friendly. In appreciation of your video and anticipating you to address the above.
Very detailed review. I am curious about the Flow comment, "keyboard and mouse refusing to switchover." How often does this happen? What is the fix? Is it just a temporary lag? Thanks.
:P this is better review than other videos. I'm bit concerned with accuracy of typing since its bluetooth and have bad experience with past bluetooth/usb dongle keyboards. the next concern is those cooler option to switch between computers its nice to know you can transfer files between but I'm also concerned with how sometimes you mentioned its not working.
my problem with this keyboard is it's too flat and the palm rest moves too much (visible here 2:252:28). I wonder if I will get used to the flatness or I should just return it (had it for 4 days now)
Consider typing with your palm hovering rather than laying flat. It is better for your wrist long term. I personally no longer use this keyboard anymore, so if you find the angle is not comfortable, just return it.
yes best review - choosing a keyboard is such a big decision. I nominate Eldon to review all high end keyboards for now on :) My question is, what are you using most often for your keyboard now?
Hi. Your video is very impressive and professional !!! Thank you so much for investing your time for us. The only thing that bothers me a lot is that i saw in another review that sometimes the mouse and the keyboard is a bit LAGI ...... Have you also experienced LAGS ???
When pairing it to my MacBook, never experienced any lag. On my desktop, sometimes had issues with lag mostly due to the desktop's Bluetooth limitation in supporting multiple devices connected. A workaround that might work would be to connect it via the logitech unifying receiver that came with the devices.
@@AveryXl Another experienced user here. I've discovered that most of the LAG caused while using the keyboard/mice of logitech MX series is due to an overload of the wireless channel it's using. Most bluetooth devices work in the same range as many other wireless devices (which is 2.4GHz), so if there's too much noise in your enviroment (which can be caused by other bluetooth devices, wireless phones, doorbells, etc) then you're going to be laggy. Another flaw I found is that, while using bluetooth headphones such as Samsung Earbuds Pro, these devices tend to disrupt each other: the audio stops suddenly and the keyboard gets laggy. But this is not a day-to-day issue, mostly on certain times in specific days. This happens regardless on if you're using the unifying receiver or the standalone bluetooth radio of the device. But, taking this issue appart, it's an AWESOME keyboard, totally worth it and I prefer it way more than mechanical/gaming ones I've used before. Join the MX religion hahahaha PS: The RMA policy and the warranty service is 10/10 too. One of my keys suddenly popped and they've replaced the whole keyboard in 10 days.
No scrolling issues for the mice so far. I personally wouldn't worry about it, I had an issue where my mx keys keycap broke (prob because I am a heavy typer) and logitech just sent me a whole new keyboard.
@@inclinedscorpio nope, they let me keep the broken keyboard so it was no hassle. I ended up ordering a 3rd party keycap to replace the broken part and gave it away to a friend.
Hey Eldon, could you perhaps make a video around the requirements to be a fintech Dev? I’m a developer for a movie studio and I’d want to move into fintech. Btw great videos the quality is awesome and I wish you all the best on your TH-cam journey P.S. The like and subscribe notification got me🤣
Hey Ridge! I'm glad you enjoyed my videos thus far. Let me try to answer your question in the comments first so there is as little delay as possible on your path into Fintech. Obviously, every companies' requirements and every developer's experience is going to be a little bit different. I am speaking only based on my experience. I have worked in banks as a developer and also in a client based Fintech company who sells software to banks. When applying at the banks, it seemed like what mattered more was the type of degree you had and which school you came from. There was little to no technical evaluations but there were many layers of interviews that you had to go through with different levels of management. If you could articulate your thoughts well and seemed like an outgoing person, it definitely worked in your favor. Whereas, for the client based company, there was a online technical test and an small in person technical test. We have hired engineers from different walks of life as long as we were confident you seemed capable technically. The requirements have been loose as we try not to automatically disqualify candidates for their degree or lack of one. Based on what I can tell, the engineers that did well in our company was not necessarily the smartest technically; but had a strong business mindset. Finance can get very complicated with the multiple types of accounts, investments, 3rd party standards that you have to integrate the company's software with and your own government's regulations. TLDR: Banks will want your resume to be pretty. Client based Fintech companies only care if you can produce results.
Thanks for the quick reply! You’ve given me a little glimmer of hope. There’s definitely a wide range of positions in fintech dev(banks, start ups, quantitative dev etc) I’ll do a bit more digging to see which will suite better. Thanks again!
I don't have any issues with it. The question is more if you have any issues on typing on a normal layout? You can also consider the logitech ergo k860.
Never used a K780 before so I can only comment on the specs, but I would assume 24m battery life vs usb c charging, white backlight, and cradle support.
@@karmak.5810 also keep in mind the round keys on the K780. I have the K600 TV keyboard here and while it is okay to use on your couch, I wouldn't wanna use it to really type anything substantial... Might just be my preference but the form of the keys makes a huge difference
Officially, there is only support for Mac and Windows. For Linux, you probably would have to find a third party software to boot up Logitech Options, but there is no guarantee every feature would work.

So for now, I hope the generic advice of "get your hands dirty" will suffice in the meantime. Best way to learn any programming language is by doing and experiencing the trial and error process. :)
Good review, however when it comes to Programmers working on Excel or simply users of Excel - the property key (the one on the left of the lock key at the top right corner) is extreamly valuable for keyboard only operation. This key is traditionally located on the left of the right Ctrl key at the standard keyboards and its location here is VERY BAD and NOT USEFUL at all for quick work in excel. I tried to repurpose the closest programable key (calculator) for this purpose but sadly it is still WAY too inconvinient :( Another bad thing for programming is the DIFFERENT size of the ESC key - which shifts the functional keys right from their standard position - which breaks the touch typing a bit. It is extra inconvenience to not have space between the F4 and F5 and F8 and F9 keys - which allows touch operation (without having to look at your keyboard ). The option to work and switch between 3 devices is very useful - just as the other keyboard I use - and really appreciated. So 3 very BIG issues for programing - other than that a really good keyboard. very portable for whenever I have to travel and very pleasent to use. Just not for programming. It really breaks and slows down my typing. It could be just me because at the office I use a different (simply magnificent compared to that) keyboard for work and when I switch to my home logi mx keys it feesl very different. If you have to program or work professionally with a keyboard for typing (programming mainly) - please make yourself a favour and get an appropriate instrument. I can strongly recomend a bluetooth keyboard with the possibility to switch between 3 devices, with standard and convenient layout that is build like a tank - doesn't move at your desk even a bit and is simply a pleasure to use. Sure the Majestouch cna be sed wired too - which I do for my main workstation and wireless for the second and third device. I wrote all this just to save you the disapointment if you really have to use this keyboard for proper day in day out work. Not that it is unusable but it forces a huge change of typing habits.
