Hi Deena, thanks for your receipt. I have tried with 100 gms of sugar. The milk cake tasted good, but it didn't tighten up, didn't go brown..why is it please.
The sugar should caramelise and if right quantity of sugar is added as instructed, the sugar caramelises and turns brown. And when it caramalises it turns sticky and holds the shape of the cake which gives the result for the colour and and texture. Hope it helped :)
