Ducky3D deserves a blender update that's themed around him just to pay homage to his coolness. I'm signing up as a Patreon as soon as I get my stipend 😏
I JUST remembered something ... y'know, as a music composer/producer, making visualizers was one of the primary reasons I even stumbled upon and wanted to learn Blender in the first place. (That was like 2-3 years ago) I just couldn't find any good tools for music visualizers - the ones there were not cost-kind for me at the time, esp for what they offered. Now ... a year and a half into Blender, being able to replicate your stuff in like ... an HOUR, with geometry nodes and everything, I feel more empowered than ever to redisccover that dream that I had honestly completely forgotten. Thanks for making this video.
In older versions of Blender this used to be called "Bake sound to F-Curve" and was under the Key menu. By the way if you want to amplify the waveform of the sound in the graph editor you can add an envelope modifier to the channel, then add a control point to the envelope and adjust the min/max of the control point.
I created an entire scifi mini movie music video a few years ago using Blender, everything animated in-time with music, the lights, doors, gadgets, computers, robots and huds, even the pov walk cycle was head bopping to the beat. I never ended up publishing it, but it is something I would love to re-vist and polish considering I spent 6 months on it.
A couple months ago my plan was to post some of my music on my ytube channel. I downloaded a bunch of free images from the British Library, then made a few slide shows, but now, after watching a ton of videos on ytube, (mostly yours) I really love the Blender, had no idea until a couple weeks ago I could play with the music and 3d modelling. Now I am focusing on the visual looping and having so much fun. Thanks For all your vids they are great, love em. But I have to admit Blender can be frustrating for a beginner, but I have learned to be patient, and finally some things are coming together. Been spending so much time in blender have had no time to create any music, but I can see some light at the end of that Sci-Fi Looping Tunnel thanks to your vids. Thanks Ducky✌🦆
You are the best Blender channel I've found on TH-cam for creating musical visuals. I would greatly appreciate more tutorials on this aspect of motion graphics, particularly styles used by popular music channels and labels. I'm still searching for tutorials focused on specific scenarios, like a sort of cool event happening in a loop, like some car drifting or something. If anyone has recommendations, please share! My current attempts seem somewhat unprofessional, so I'm eager to improve.
Thanks once again man just getting back into blender but I still remember your tutorials from years ago kept inspired learning now I have a computer that can handle it
You should try an Animation Nodes addon. It has much more features than F-curves, like customizable attack/release speed, amplitude strength, exponential spectrum sampler. It can handle huge amount of bands and everything can be changed on the fly. Works very similar to GN
dunno if someone mentioned it but you can use a part of a spectrum to bake. in case you don't have stems. like equalizing several bands like low, hi, and mid frequencies.
Ducky, I thank you and your videos for much of what I've learned about blender. You're the one who taught me "bake sound to f-curve" so i think it appropriate that I share my latest idea that adds a new dimension to the standard audio visualization process and underlying framework used by most people in blender. Would you mind if I DM you on Discord to share it with you. Perhaps you could even use the idea for your next audiovis project.
Nice, I am working on a project a animated synthesizer which uses MIDI notes it's using a Script generator for Blender to convert Midi notes to keyframes
@@TheDucky3D I don't know why youtube keeps deleting my comments i've tagged you in a tweet about the Script generator for Blender: convert Midi notes to keyframes tool
So it's a multiple track volume visualization? Rendering whole image just to replace one texture. Seems to be a lot of wasted computation power. Wouldn't be better to do this in After Effects, as color edit, or as a mask between two static image?
Yes but this would for someone who doesn’t have after effects, I want to make a video for people who have blender, but can’t afford after effects. But they still want to make things like this.
@@TheDucky3D I suggested after effects since it's the software you seems to be using a lot in you video. But blender also have video editing & masking in it, and likely can do the same things.
The reason I went to his Patreon. Thank you, bro!
Thank you!!!

In current versions this feature is still present under a slightly different name in an adjacent category, iirc.
@@SoundblasterYT It's under channel in the graph editor and called Sound to Samples
Thanks!
Of course Ducky uploaded a video about the exact thing I’ve been obsessed with this year.

Dude yea you need to finish that!!
I'll make it a priority project to drop for the new year@@TheDucky3D 😀
First started watching your videos to make visuals for my music. This is some great stuff!
I love the one on the paper. That's such a fun idea.
It was the last design I made for this project! I like how different it is from the other one

How's blender going?

Awesome man! I’m glad you’re back!
Literally yesterday I was finding a tutorial of using geo nodes to create music visualizer and here we go , thanks man
Thanks for the video! Making music visualizers with blender is insanely fun!
Yes it is!!
Let's Go, Ducky. Been looking forward to this.
Report back! Let me know know what you think
Scroll to 03:00 for the tutorial to start
Teenage Engineering will steal that design if you are not careful ahaha, awesome ideas and developments of course!

This is some really cool looking stuff 💪 Thanks for sharing!

THIS VIDEO IS AMAZING

That thumbnail is great. Maybe more generalized title would have been useful for the views, but I like it either way
I appreciate the feedback
Ducky you've unlocked so many pastabilities for me. lmk if you need a massive library of stems :)
YAAAAASS You make the best tuts! I'm so stoked because I've been struggle bussing to figure this out! Thanks so much DUCKY 3D!!! You're a boss!
I’m glad this helped you man!!
*Great video buddy* 🔥
Thanks dude!
amazing!
How about hooking it up to a particle system and have it influence the turbulence? Would be a cool effect for fire.
That would totally work!!

I wish I could do this with a realtime audio source. And then I could make some fancy 2D vtubers without complicated Windows only apps
That would be cool!
nice
nice tutorial :)
Thanks

Hello
If i join on pattreon will i also get old tutorial files? I have never used patreon.
Yes everything is available there
Awww yeah
Yes!!!
Can I still have access to the tutorials of these video on Patreon? Even though I'm joining Tier 2 Patreon late...??
Yea you have access to everything
Released 36 seconds ago. :D
Yes! Ur fast
Now make a music reactive stream backdrop
Doable in realtime with Tooll3
Ahh great idea
Any tutorials 😅
The previous upload was a good one too
Yooooo
Yo yo
The Blender Addon he uses does not work with blender so do not bother going to his patreon. It wont help you
