I love to ride bmx as well but unfortunately I haven't road in a long time can afford a new bike. An my old one was stolen, I truly support what you do for bmx an hopefully one day I'll will a give away so I can get back into riding again, I miss it alot but at least I can still watch an try to learn new tricks when I get a new bike. Thank you for uploading an keeping me inspired to want to ride.. good luck to your other follower as well.
whats sup been following you for bit thanks on this review been looking for bike racks for alil bit now and this the first that actually looks better than most
I noticed that one was for a fat tire and the other a regular rim wheel. I will be hauling 2 ebike fat tire bikes. Is there a add on for the second fat tire bike?
I am working on a video about the rack after 1 year that will be out soon. You can get the fat tire add on and other fat tire accessories on 1 up. I love this thing!
I don’t see any discoloration directly in that area but I can say that there is a little bit of weathering on the rack itself just because I never take it off Unless I have to and it sits out in the weather elements. Still works great!
Thanks for the fast response. I have a rockymounts splitrail now and it has melted where the exhaust is. I have the same car as you 2021 forester sport and would like to have a bike rack that I can leave on all the time without worry of damage to it other than weather related.
Thanks man! It’s a great rack and still running strong. All that this rack has came with it from 1up. If it isn’t on the site, I’d email them asking and mention you saw it here. That might help with getting what you’re looking for 😁
And by the way I've been subscribed to your channel since day one also I've been subscribed to Scotty Cramer's Channel since day one BMX has changed my life and kept me out of a lot of trouble and I think Riders like you that inspired me so thank you for all your hard work keep it up
Great review, thanks. What model is this, and where did you get the quick release tabs? I've also got bikes of all different sizes so the ability to change quickly is awesome.
Hey! 1 up doesn’t offer that built into the rack like the küat rack does. I usually lock my bikes together and on the rack anyway. If that’s a selling point for you and you would rather have it built in then maybe the 1 up isn’t what you should get. If you have a lock then for sure this is hands down the best. Build quality is great and really easy to stow away. Thanks for reaching out!
I'm interested in this rack because it solves the problem I have now with the location of my hitch pin hole (too shallow and not compatible with Thule racks) but all of my bikes are commuter e-bikes with fenders. It doesn't look like the arms to secure the bike on the rack is fender compatible. Have you transported any bikes with fenders?
Thanks guys I have a road bike and 29 er mtb . Looking at the black anodized 2 rack standard as I don’t have an ebike, Thanks for entering me in your contest
Hey Mike, why and how is the tray closest to the car wider than the second tray ? Is this a custom mix ? cause I don't see this configuration on the one up website. Thanx and great video.
Thanks for the 1up explanation of why its called the one up. The sliders are clutch! USA 1up makes two different fender securing accessories; it would have been really helpful to see those demonstrated and reviewed. Overall decent video. Thanks from a new subscriber.
Think of them like rollerblade straps or ski boot straps with how they click through the teeth and lock in that way. The same way you have to push the tab down to release off of the teeth, but with this you pull the lever up. Really easy and is very secure.
I subscribed!! I just got my 1Up Super Duty. However, it did not come with the quick release and slide which I need for my small tire ElliptiGO Long Strider. Did you get that Quick Release and slide for the tire locks from 1UpUSA??
I have used 1up for years and I purchased it at the InterBike show years ago. I think I need to get new rails because the old school system of rails is weak
So that can be a tough one to answer. Let kind of depends on the tow hitch that you have with the Weight it’s able to hold. Unless you were talking about the amount of weight the actual bike rack tray and hinge system can hold. I travel pretty regularly with one of my fat tire electric bikes that weighs about 60 pounds as well as my Enduro mountain bike at the same time. I have a 2 inch hitch. I’m actually going to be making a follow up video here in the next week or so. I pretty much never take the rack off of my vehicle and I was going to do a video talking about the wear and tear. I hope I was able to answer your question with this response. I will try to go further in depth in the follow up video. Thanks again!
Cool looking rig, only problem they're out of stock. Of note you can buy a straight up motorcycle hitch rack for two bikes that holds 3x the weight for 3 times less money.
@@MikeFede you're very welcome man keep up all the good work and all the inspiration you put out there for the world keep it up bro I'll be shredding soon when I get my new bike stay awesome and keep it up
Yeah this rack is definitely worth it. I’ve seen eight total on the back of a long RV. A lot of it has to do with the actual standing weight that your hitch allows. I’m currently working on a video about this rack since I’ve been using it for a while now. Thanks for the comment and the support.🤙🏽
Actually the right answer to your question is it depends on what type of RV you are Attaching it to, some travel trailer have very thin bumps, on ours it has a better bumper but I still added gusts and they bolted on so I'm going to have them welded. then I'm going to use this 1 up system for 3 bikes, a Trek Stache 5, a Salsa Mukluk fat bike and my gravel road bike.
How do you like the rack after having a while? I’m tired of loading my YT Capra on the roof of my Subaru and removing the wheel. Bmx and DJ fit in the back no problem but the big bike has to be on the outside.
I love it! I use it regularly with all different size wheelbase bikes. I’m actually working on a video now on the rack that will be out in a couple of days.🤙🏽
Love this concept of one up bike rack especially being able to add additional bikes when needed. What is missing is a side ramp for me to be able to walk my electric bike up to load bike. I have a disadvantage of being a women in her 60 which means there is no way for me to lift a 60lb electric bike.
Nice review, I just got an E-Bike and am interested in the 1UP carrier. Plus I have a 2015 Forester XP and don't have a trailer hitch yet. What hitch do you have, if it is aftermarket, did you install it yourself. Thnks -Bill
Thanks! Yea I love the convenience of it. I’m unsure of the name since my buddy ordered it at his shop. I know it’s got 500+ lbs of a weight limit as a resting weight and towing is more than the forester can do. I think 3500. Pretty straight forward install of it. I recommend having a friend to help you hold it up while fishing the bolts on the frame. Looking back on it, after stupidity doing it alone, I would have paid for someone else to do it. I hope you get one, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!
Thanks for the review. I have been looking into the right rack for my circumstances. I ride a 20" BMX daily. My wife has a cruiser and I've got a few kiddos (5, 2, and 2 months). Would you consider the 1up to be a good option for 3-4 bikes at a time?
Cory Landmark No problem! I plan on doing another video on the rack here pretty soon. It’s one of the only racks that has the step upwards design. I think that Design plays a huge factor with bicycle clearance from each other and objects around. You can go down hills that come to a steep junction and not worry about the bikes dragging as you transition. Not something a lot of people think about but it does play a factor. I definitely encourage getting the Quick release tabs like mine has that will allow you to adjust to any bicycle wheel in seconds. I’m constantly doing that between my Bmx, Mtb, wife’s bike and my daughters little strider. I will have a video up here as soon as possible talking more about the rack and showing the versatility and how quickly it’s able to be changed depending on the bike. Thanks for the comment!
@@MikeFede This was a while ago but do you remember the wheel size of your daughter's little strider at the time you wrote this comment? 1-up does not state the minimum wheel size it can handle.
Thanks for review I see that you are very excited about your new bicycle rack unfortunately you still have to pick up bicycles to put it on in my case picking up to 78 lb electric bikes big No-No it will be nice if the arms that locks the wheel tire could go down to the bottom and touch the ground so I can use little ramp on the side to push my bicycle on the bicycle rack instead of picking them up and that's what it is missing to be a perfect bicycle hitch rack other than that I love it but it's not for me
How about my ebike with fenders? Will this work?
Where do you get those quick release kits

Very helpful. Shopping for a rack now. Thanks. The 1Up rack is built very well. I think this is the one for me.
Where did you get that quick adjust add on for the rack? I cannot find it anywhere online

Shout out to John helping Mike with his big package.
Will this work with 5 inch tires and ways 95 pounds
What animal was that at the pond?
I am so impressed with this bike rack!
What about the 1 up usa swing arm?
Does this have a bolt lock to lock it onto the vehicle hitch?

gonna go buy this bike rack..thanks for the review
How is it holding up with the exhaust hitting it directly when stowed upright?
I don’t see any discoloration directly in that area but I can say that there is a little bit of weathering on the rack itself just because I never take it off Unless I have to and it sits out in the weather elements. Still works great!

Really like the 1up rack, will it handle a long wheelbase recumbent?
Great review. I'm purchasing a used rack and was wondering where you got the quick release slide for the tire adjustment?

Looks like a great product -thanks for the video
Maybe I missed it, but does it have a locking system or cable that keeps the bikes safe while in the rack?
Hey! 1 up doesn’t offer that built into the rack like the küat rack does. I usually lock my bikes together and on the rack anyway. Awesome channel just found ya…. An I got delivery today on this rack!
That vinyl wrap is sick on the foz! Would wide handlebars be close to the back window?

I'm new. Just bought my first box bike in 33 years. I ended up getting the Sunday Primer in pink
Sean Stepherson hell yea, that’s awesome! Thanks for the support over here and enjoy that beast!
Have you run into any issues with long handlebars hitting the vehicle? It looks like the rack sits really close to the vehicle.
Nice review Mike (and John). Going to pull the trigger on this one!
Awesome video dude, and John done that so quick, such a cool design aswell on the bike rack don’t see those ones here in the uk often

OK now I see, the tray is the same width but the front bike spot one has the spacer kit, that widens the support arms.
Hey! yea its for my ebike. I will be doing a follow up video on the rack here soon. :-)

Do you know if this would hold an Elliptigo 8c? I am a new subscriber!
So what keeps people from removing the pins and stealing the bikes (without having their wheel lock installed)?
How do the brackets that go over the tires lock in place in security?
Think of them like rollerblade straps or ski boot straps with how they click through the teeth and lock in that way. The same way you have to push the tab down to release off of the teeth, but with this you pull the lever up. Really easy and is very secure.

It would be nice if the support plates for the vertical bars would fold all the way down so you don't have to lift the bike over them.
Will this rack work on a RV?
Yea. If you check 1 ups Instagram they have a photo they posted with some amazing setups on Rvs.
