    First test is to check the IRs on the first charge much more important than how close the storage voltage is. If wildly high or off I email the supplier with pictures and they have always sent replacements as batteries with known faults cannot be shipped back.

    If the wires are attached to the battery with bullet connectors like on racing batteries you can just unplug the balance plug while you use it. They are annoying for stacking though. I currently have some powerhobby 3s 5200 hardcases but they are getting a bit old and the internal resistance is about 10mΩ. Do they need replacement? And if so, what cheapish 3s lipos would you recommend that are around 5000mAh?

    • @HardcoreRC
      @HardcoreRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is annoying that they dont make the balance leads detachable - i know that Hobbyking did do it with the original Graphene ones but then stopped. 10mΩ isnt that bad, just keep an eyue on them and see if they are puffing at all, mine didnt last loing at all - got about 10 runs out of them before they both lost a cell.
      Still my favorite packs are the Turnigy Heavy Duty packs but these are soft packs, if you looking for hard case packs then deffo look at CNHL

    Hi guys, I need some advice. I am gonna buy 2 of the 3S 100c 8000mAh for my Kraton 6S, but how do I charge safely and what charger where I can charge both should I buy? Also, do they cut off when they get at 3.3V? I am new to non Traxxas LiPo’s. Thank you guys! 👍👍

    • @HardcoreRC
      @HardcoreRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cherger options are listed in the description fo our videos, trhe 3s 8,000mAh packs will need a 100watt to charge at 1C so would recommend the Hota D6+ www.banggood.com/custlink/D33doriqht. Yes the lipos will cut off when they hit LVC in the car, so around 3.3v, to charge you would charge at 1C to work out 1C you divide the capacity (mAh) by 1,000 - so for your 8,000mAh pack you would charge them at 8amps

    • @HardcoreRC
      @HardcoreRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Interesting - have you checked how many mAh you can put back in each after hitting LVC, that is the best way to compare capacity,
      Also check what voltage each is at when they LVC

    • @derkchurk5879
      @derkchurk5879 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Perhaps you got a battery that was shelved in a warehouse for longer then it should

    • @nothingmedia8629
      @nothingmedia8629 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can't really compare runtime as a higher voltage battery will probably be powering a bigger more power-hungry car. This is why a 5000mAh pack will give you more runtime in a 1/10 car than in an xmaxx

  • @lexsteel12
    @lexsteel12 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Gensace are great batteries, but a bit overpriced, in my opinion. You can get a far better value for your money, and much higher capacity Lipos, from other manufacturers. For example, I just bought a pair of 4S 9000mAh HV 130C Gaonend Lipos, for $220 shipped. They are also Hardcase. For anyone that knows about Lipos, Gaonend Lipos are some of the best cells on the market. But again, you cannot go wrong with Gensace.

    • @HardcoreRC
      @HardcoreRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Agree - i actually like the DXF lipos that are way cheaper, however some people dont like to order from relatively unknown brands that they have to import and prefer to go for brands they can buy locally, does mean they pay more though
