Thank you my questions about painting my drum or not and oil is a good way to protect the outside like you said also it’s your drum it’s not a hot Rod cooking oil while the drum is hot conditions the metal fine

Great video! Using the high heat Rustoleum on steel plate do you have to get every bit of mill scale off or can you sand it and paint over it?

I don’t worry about getting all the Mill scale off. I just scuff it up with sandpaper if I’m worried about it smooth surface finish.
